Does anyone know if there are adult daycare centers during the
afernoons/evenings  or better yet, 24 hour day care centers?  I work
from 4pm-12am.  With the kind of work I do, I might have to work 16
hours if somene doesn't show up for the midnight shift.  I have heard
that they do exist.  Thanks in advance for any help.  I live in Micinga
in the Detroit area.

You should inquire from the Alzheimers association in your area, they would
know.   Just a suggestion, I think you might fare well with a regular
"sitter" that came to your house.

Nora,

I'd agree with Evelyn's suggestion about getting a "sitter" to come to your
house.  A lot of people with children like to work 2nd or 3rd shift so they
can be home with their kids during the day, and then their spouse takes over
at night after the spouse gets home from work.  Hopefully you could find
someone competent who is interested in the non-8 to 5 schedule.

The local Aging Resource Center here will arrange for a sleepover
caregiver locally, you might try your local ARC and see what they might
know of.
