Hi there Jules . . . Don't come here often these days, but I peeked in and there was your post.
So sorry to hear that your Granddad has progressed to the point where he does not recognize
you. When that happened with my husband, I thought I would be devestated, but I just kept moving
forward. Somehow, altho he didn't know quite how, he would look up at me and say: "we belong together, right?"
And his face always lit up with a big smile when I came to see him. I am quite certain that on some level,
your Granddad knows you, too. . . . Jules, I am sad to hear that your health has not been good. Please take
care of yourself. You are so special. I appreciate your sharing your love for your Granddad.

 Well the time has come, i went to visit him on friday, and he didnt
 recognise me or the dog...i got a lift with a friend, who by chance looked
 after him in the home he used to be in (he was moved to a EMI??) place in
 Feb...when i got a call to say he did not know any of the family, but then
 he did know me, and the dog....and that made me happy, my friend who is a
 nurse asked him if he had grandchildren and he said no...the hour we was
 there, we just talked as if i was a stranger..i knew this day was coming,
 but it wasnt nice, my friend said be happy, my granddad is in his own little
 world now......and to himself hes happy.

 I had not seen him since late Mar, unfortunaly my health took a steep dive
 on the 21st Apr, dont want to go into much detail, but i had a bad
 breakdown, and stopped rescuing reptiles, spent a month drivng all over the
 UK finding new homes for over a 100, inc the iguanas, i had for 14 and 10
 years....

 Im leaving in a few weeks, im off to Germany to live, just got to tie a few
 loose ends up here...

 I was given some fotos i had NEVER seen not long ago, as me as a child, and
 lots with my grandparents in the 70's and 80's.....i put them on my website
 where the link is below. i love looking at them....

 Also the fotos from the 20th Apr, it was hours later after putting those up,
 that things went bad for me......
