Turmeric Curcumin in 500mg caps is available from GNC.  My wife's
neurologist recommended 1 a day (for each of us).  Not as tasty as curry,
but it's more convenient and it doesn't stain your cookware...:-)

I hope this helps, but I'm not overly optimistic.

When my mother-in-law's dementia was becoming manifest, my
father-in-law bought a box of empty capsules, and a pound of
curry powder.  He filled the capsules by hand and fed them to
her at a rate of several per day.

There's no way of knowing whether it slowed down her
progression.  How would one tell?  But there is no doubt at
all that her disease did progress - through all the terrible stages
that we all know about.

   Alan

Incidentally, my parents-in-law and my own parents are now all
dead and my participation in this group has declined.  However
I still read from time to time and offer my best wishes to all of you
who are still coping with this nightmarish disease.
