Has ANYONE heard about "Ozone Therapy"? or "Hydrogen Peroxide Therapy"?

I am new to the entire deal.  My Gmom, who is the most wonderful person
in my life...my whole entire life, is suffering from this scary and
heartbraking disease.  I am her caretaker by choice.  I have had a lot
of tears and acceptance so far.  I don't think there are words to
describe how emotional draining and helpless I have felt watching her
struggle with every day tasks that I never imagined could be almost
impossible now for her to do.  Falling and not wanting to take a bath
etc.  I feel like I have scored a touch down, literally when I have
finished helping her with a shower.   It's like pulling teeth to get her
to do so.  My heart goes out to every single individual that has to face
this disease that rips your heart out and leaves you emotionally
exhausted and just sad.  The kind of sadness that constantly reminds you
of the fact that its never going to be better or ever be the same as it
was.  Or will it?  A dear friend of mine has recently done a lot of
research and has even purchased an ozone generator for medicinal
purposes.  I have read that with chelation therapy one can detox from
the metallics that are associated with the cause of AD.  Does anyone
know anything about this?  It is completely non-toxic, etc.  THe main
reason why it hasn't been boasted as a CURE is due to the whole RX money
involvement and all that involves.  It is really sad to me that all of
the healthcare in the USA is just about money and not about the state of
well being first.  It's really disturbing actually.  I will stay on
point though and am just wondering why no one has mentioned anything
about the miracle of ozone?  Any feed back on this is would be greatly
appreciated.

Respectfully,

Ozone is not a miracle. Ozone has been touted as a cure for many things over
the years. People selling ozone machines and claiming they can cure cancer
have been prosecuted by the FDA. I'm highly dubious that anything can
reverse the damage of AD once the damage is done.

If your grandma is 65 then her healthcare is covered to some extent by
Medicare and her medicines by Medicare part D. I'd suggest that you exhaust
all avenues of traditional medical care before you start experimenting on
your grandma with the things you have mentioned.       AW

There are always people who would seek a miracle of some kind, or some
obscure cure the doctors don't know about, or have suppressed or whatever.
I have known several people who decided to seek holistic cures for what
ailed them.   Two women in particular with breast cancer decided to treat
their illness with alternative methods.   They are both deceased.   Perhaps
this has tainted my opinion of alternative therapies, but I personally feel
that as long as one goes to the doctor and treats with regular allopathic
medicine, one can probably indulge in alternatives somewhat if it makes them
feel better.    But if a person really wants to toss out all modern medical
knowledge as quackery, you would probably deserve what comes of it.

um...just a question?  What answers did you provide to my question?
No, I am far from Quakery Ma'am.  Please try and give a little
respect.  I'd appreciate that in the future if you are going to
respond to my posts.

Mary responds: Evelyn was very respectful and polite.
You...well...less so. I guess, my question to you is....what "miracle
of ozone"? Or is the "miracle" of chelation?  And what are we trying
to chelate? Aluminum? Iron? If you are into conspiracy theories about
the suppression of miraculous cures for nepharious purposes, you are
about to end up on the plonk list.

person, that is what email is for.   I did not address my post to you by
name and did not give you an answer to your question, as I didn't feel it
was of interest to me.

I commented on "alternative" treatments and gave my personal opinion which
my right to do, and was not meant in a disrespectful manner to anyone.

If you TOOK offense where none was given, that again is not my problem, but
your own.   Also, I will respond to any post that I think is of interest to
me or to others who read here, and it isn't my job to please any particular
person with my replies.

If you don't like what I said, that is your choice.

You open my post voluntarily, take the time to read it, and then you get mad
because I don't necessarily endorse your ideas?   Sorry about that.   Usenet
is for grownups.   I respectfully suggest you may not want to read me
further, because I cannot guarantee you will like what you read.

Sorry, that's all complete bull pucky.  There has not been any
proven connection between metals and AD.  Ozone is poisonous and
can irritate mucous membranes, which are already fragile in
elderly people.

Your "dear friend" obviously believes nutcase alternative health
writers rather than the refereed and published medical journals.
He/she is just gullible.
