Things are about the same here. He seems to stare into space a lot and
sometimes he looks like a little child just gazing at things.
My brother-in-law seems very tired but he does have a heart condition and we
wonder if that's what
makes him tired.
The other day we went shopping and before we got through our grocery shopping
he was ranting and raving about going home. He kept saying, "I want to go
home and I want to go home NOW"
Has anyone ever gone through this? Please answer.
I didn't get a reply from the last message I sent. We just want to know if
this affects all patients like that.

Brianna, no two patients react exactly the same to the same situations. But
my situation with Grayson came very close. Every time I took him with me
anywhere (and I couldn't leave him alone),he was ready to go home very
quickly. And all the way home he would tell me he was never going with me
again. He would forget before I had to take him again, but we always went
through the same thing--he was never going with me again! It was always
just the two of us in the car, never in front of anyone. But don't be
surprised at anything that happens and whatever it is, he can't help it.
His brain just doesn't function correctly.

Thank you, thank you!!! That helps us to understand a lot of the disease.

Brianna my mother in law NEVER stopped asking to "go home" every single day
for years. I know it is maddening, but the strange part is that often they
have forgotten their present home and are speaking of some home they lived
in many years ago. It is part of the illness. As their brain
deteriorates, they feel as though they are always in unfamiliar or strange
places.

>Thank you Evelyn. We wonder why he wants to come home when he is so anxious to leave the house. He gets tired of being cooped up.
