Adelle - 25 Jan 2008 03:45 GMT Just some thoughts on our current source of frustration.
She is self described as having Alzheimer's and is acting paranoid. Hmm. Yet you are still answering her accusations as if her 'reasoner' weren't broken. We can't calm her like we might a loved one, with distractions and such. Nor is it our obligation to be a caretaker here. So why answer?
We all choose to whom we reply. We *can* simply ignore all posts which aren't about caretaking or otherwise supportive of the group. That goes for people who we know are afflicted, have personal axes to grind, have medical theories which they are propounding, or just want to sell us something. Nothing is forcing us to finish reading their posts, take time out of our lives to compose an answer, or hit send. So why do it?
Lastly, if you are going to reply, please delete whatever the impaired poster has written from your reply. Don't quote them. It takes up bandwidth, slows the downloads, and allows the person an additional shot at having their rantings appear on the ng.
Just my two cents.

Signature Adelle ========================================== Adelle-- I've never described myself as having Alzheimers. My mother had AD and I have dementia. The same virus that causes AD can also cause blindness, vertigo, hearing and memory loss. This is a complex disease and one reason why AD is not seriously studiied. It's progressive, some go slowly, others fast. EddyJean

I have such posters kill-filed and still have to be exposed to their ramblings by the inclusion of their posts in the replys. PLEASE delete their trash.. or better yet, ignore or kill-file them. Thank you very much.

So why do it? thanks, adelle. i'm glad i'm not the only one who urges folks to simply "block sender" or killfile folks like this.
IF WE DON'T FEED TROLLS THEY WILL GO AWAY. it's that simple.

Why? They don't want you to know the late Dr. James Ramsay Hunt discovered the viruses in 1907 that cause AD and other facial/cranial diseases. The father of Neurology in the U.S.treated patients nearly 30 years with these diseases before his death. His obsession was with the facial nerves. I posted TWICE the addresses of the American Medical Association and the Director of Neurology at Columbia University in NYC but these posts quickly disappeared. My late mother had AD, other relatives died never knowing the cause of their illness and have eight relatives now suffering from it with no help in sight. My God, AZ was discovered in 1906, how long do you think we should wait for a cure??? I've volunteered myself as a subject of study for the past fifteen years, traveled coast to coast to enter studies at the nation's most prestigious medical schools, and you know what, I found NO ONE doing serious studies on AZ except a front to make the public think there is. So, the question is: who's pocketing the grant money (paid by the taxpayer) directed towards a specific research when there's no research???? The medical schools police themselves and have no "neutral" oversight committees but left to do as they please. Az research always seems to end with the tangles and plaques. The U.S. has the technology to go to the moon, and send robots to Mars, but can't find a cure to AZ, leaving thousands to suffer and die needlessly and prematurely. After Christopher Columbus, is there no one left willing to accept new challenges? This disease has far reaching consequences. Yes, its not an easy thing to watch a loved one suffer from this and that's why I want answers. Why was there no followup on the late Dr. James R. Hunt's research but covered up? Government won't do anything to protect us, so its up to "We the People!" Eddyjean

Why do you want to know, can't wait for my demise? This was all explained on previous posts. Trying to locate a doctor who studied viruses is similar to looking for a needle in a haystack, Lacking knowledge on viruses, doctors mix apples with oranges, Patients misdiagnosed right and left. Why medical schools have not followed up on the viral discoveries by the late Dr. James Ramsay Hunt in 1907 or made an effort to do a serious study, remains a mystery. On chronic diseases, its guesswork or bandaid medicine. In some instances, its wise to bring your own bandaid. I posted two addresses (but rapidly disappeared from the screen) to the American Medical Association and to the Director of Neurology of Columbia University in NYC. The AMS records all viruses, write and ask them why the virus that causes Az was never followed up. Also contact Columbia Universities Neurology Department and ask them where you can find the late Dr. Hunt's books and research papers. You'll get your answer. Viruses are a complex study but can be done as Dr. Hunt proved.
