EddyJean:

I doubt your posts were actually BLOCKED.  More than likely, your
service provider suffered technical problems and was short-staffed
during the holidays.

Chuck,

alt.support.alzheimers is not a moderated group, so nobody's posts are
blocked..... even if someone wanted to do it, it isn't possible.

The only way posts can be blocked is to set it up as a moderated group, with
certain people who are designated to be the moderators of the group.   It is
almost impossible to do that, and the word moderated appears in the name of
the group itself.

The reason I know this is because many years a group I posted to regularly,
wanted to become a moderated group and several of us looked into it.   It
required so much rigamarole we finally gave up.    Fortunately Yahoo set up
their own email groups since then, and many of their groups are moderated
and easy to use, so nobody much bothers about trying to set up moderated
usenet groups anymore.

This sounds 100% correct.  As I mentioned, I believe that if
EddyJean's posts didn't show up, it was simply due to technical
difficulties on her service provider's end and a lack of personnel to
rectify the problems due to the Christmas/New Year holidays.

Take care!

Eddyjean nobody can possibly block another persons posts.  Check into it and
you will see that there just is no way to do it.   I do know that Google,
who manages these groups, has had some glitches lately.   I was unable to
access the groups several times myself in the last couple of months, but I
tried again later and got in fine.

Offer Jules some support instead of your trolling. No matter what

Those of us here who care for loved ones need kindness and comfort, not
your theories, and even if they were true, there is no peace in it for
us. Go and find this guy's books and reprint them, or bring them to the

Alzheimers.

Yes, Evelyn, I know which newsgroup I'm posting to: alt.(dot)
support.(dot) ALZHEIMERS and all other dementing diseases. I have
dementia and know the suffering, aggravation and frustration it causes.
My posts are not "wild rantings" as you want viewers to believe and am
not responsible for Jules agony, sorrow and sense of loss. If you and
Jules can't accept the fact the late, great Dr. Ramsay R. Hunt
discovered a hundred years ago (1907-2007) the viruses that cause
facial/cranial diseases  there's nothing I can do for "closed" minds.
Perhaps you didn't understand, most of Dr. Hunt's work has strangely
disappeared!!! The late Dr. Hunt was educated in the U.S. and abroad, a
professor of Neurology and Psychiatry, a consultant to ten NYC hospitals
and mental institutions, received honorary degrees, named in the book of
"Who's Who in America", the father of Neurology in the United States, a
Lietenant-Colonel in the U.S. Army's Medical Corp during WWI, yet FEW
DOCTORS heard of this great doctor and the diseases he discovered????
Anyone interested should write to the Director of Neurology at Columbia
University in New York City. Request copies of Dr. Hunt's research on
Ramsay Hunt Syndrome and his books.

die, is that what you mean by "compassionate?"

Question 1: Yes
Question 2:  Bits and pieces from a number of sources.
To help make my point, the American Medical Association has the names of
all the discovered viruses on file. Write to them and ask why was there
no followup of the virus discovered  by the late Dr. James Ramsay Hunt
that causes facial/cranial diseases? Their address is as follows:

               American Medical Association
               Ronald M. Davis, President
               515 N. State Street
               Chicago, Illinois 60610

Request copies of Dr. Hunt's research and books from the Columbia
University Medical Center. Their address is:

                  Columbia University Medical Center
                  Timothy A. Pedley, Neurology-in-Chief
                   630 W. 168th Street
                   New York, NY 10032

Although Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome was discovered in 1907 and treated
patients 30 years before his death, the disease was not listed with NORD
(National Organization of Rare Disorders) until after I contacted NORD
in 1996.
