Hi all

Went to see granddad at the weekend, along with the dog...not been for a few
weeks cos i had bronchial pneumonia (haha cold with a cough i guess and
smoking 60 a day didnt help)

Hes fine, eating well...didnt notice any downhil with him, seemed his normal
self, was happy to see me and the dog, and the dog was happy to pop too.
spent a hour with him watching tv and reading.

Dont like him just sat there, doing nothing..he wasnt the type to sit and do
nothing, but it was nice to hug and lay on his arm like i did as a kid..

He didnt realise i hadnt been for 3 weeks, which i guess was normal, but he
thanked me for going, which i dont like, i dont do it like i feel i must, i
do it cos i love him..

Did have a bad dream the other week, that he and the dog both died..so was
relived to see him and things are fine. He says he is living the life of
riley, and happy but wish i could do more for him.

I think, i will get a foto of the Arthur the dog printed out and in a little
frame and give it to him for his room, he has one, which i gave him many
years ago...none of me though, that would give him nightmares too!!

Btw i became the father to 12 baby snakes the other week....so cute...well
known US type snake.

I actually rescued a really old female about 3 years ago, she was so old me
and a expert said she had about a year left (she was 11 according to the
previous owner), anyway 3 years on shes going strong and been in with a
young male which i rescued about 4 years ago. She laid eggs last year, which
i didnt find in time, but she laid 12 this year..and all hatched a couple of
months ago, and all are feeding..

I sold them to the local pet shop, which was good cos it cleared a debt i
owed.

A Bairds rat snake if anyone has heard of them.

Oh yeah, the dogs ok too.  Still as ugly and smelling though, bit like his
owner haha

Hi Julian!

So glad to hear from you and that your grandad is doing OK.   We're doing
well here too.   Putting some of my paintings in a show tomorrow, and I'm
busy all the time, as usual.

Many years ago I had a rat snake as a pet too.   There were two kinds I knew
of, one was a red rat snake and the other was called a yellow rat snake.
The one I had was a red rat snake.   I had it only for a short time and gave
it away to a childrens museum.   I couldn't stand to feed it live mice.
Too tenderhearted for the mice.  :-)

Jules, you had been gone so long I thought you had gotten lost!! Good to
hear from you, your granddad and the Arthur.
Glad you're over the pneumonia; it wasn't any fun was it!  Take care and let
us hear from all of you when you can.

Jules:

Great to hear from you, man!  I'm glad to hear that your Grandfather
is doing well, or at least no worse.

And give Arthur a break - he's NOT an ugly dog!

Are you back to living in England?

Hi Chuck

"Chuck Whealton" <chuck_whealton

Been back a couple of months, many many problems as normal (some quite
humerous actually!!)

Still planning on moving over next year, and looking at saving for a camper
van as i want to write some books next year so need to visit lots of E
German old airbases.

Grandad is ok, which im happy with, and Arthur the dog too, although with
his dicky ticker hes taking it easy.

I have this girl visiting in a couple of weeks from Berlin, i hooked up with
her a couple of times on my trip and shes fallen in love with me haha....so
thats 3 now in the past year

Still carrying on as normal here...or as normal as i normally am!

Hey Jules...

Well, I'm certainly glad to hear that things are going well for you.

I thought about you the other night, as I was eating some McVittie's
Milk Chocolate Digestives!

Take care, and don't be such a stranger!

its should be ok, my lawyer says my defence is, the workmen brroke my
washing machine, and had to buy a new one, and twice the workmen cut through
the fone wires, which i had to pay to get fixed (im taking the companies to
court to get my money back) so i couldnt afford to pay the rent to the
council, along with the gas leak when they ripped the pipe out, me getting a
shock from bad wiring, and another long list of problems recently it should
be ok...
