NEWS FLASH! -- CITGO CHANGING NAME

American Boycot of Citco is working. Remember Chavez owns Citgo, we
can put him out of business.

CITGO is NOW in the process of changing its name to PETRO EXPRESS due
To the loss of gasoline sales in the USA due to the recent publicity of
ownership by Chavez of Venezuela.

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT because Chavez is starting to feel the loss of
revenue from his holdings.
HE OWNS CITGO This is a very important move that everyone should be
aware of.

ANNOUNCED JUST RECENTLY, CITGO, BEING AWARE THAT SALES ARE DOWN DUE TO
U.S. CUSTOMERS NOT WANTING TO BUY FROM "CITGO-CHAVEZ", HAVE STARTED TO
CHANGE THE NAME OF SOME OF THEIR STORES TO: "PETRO EXPRESS"

DO NOT BUY FROM "PETRO EXPRESS" EITHER!
"PETRO EXPRESS" IS ALSO 100% OWNED BY "CHAVEZ."

KEEP THIS MEMO GOING SO THAT EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT IS HAPPENING.

      BOYCOTT "CITGO" AND "PETRO EXPRESS."

This affects me, so I thought some might be interested.

Since the Bush-Cheney-Rumsfield decision to invade Iraq (with the
agreement of most of the Senate and House including Senators Biden,
Clinton, Dodd, Brownback and McCain and Representatives Tancredo and
Hunter) over 650,000 Iraqis have lost their lives.  Another 4 million
are displaced, about 2 million outside the country and about 2 million
internally.  Probably for Baghdad residents alone, what happened at
Virginia Tech a while back would be considered a good day.  Numbers
there were lower than the usual daily death count in Baghdad and none of
the Virginia Tech victims were tortured.  In the meantime, a recent
report indicated that as more soldiers were being sent back to Iraq and
as the length of stay in country was being extended, more and more
soldiers surveyed indicated that they had no problem mistreating
civilians and a far greater percentage indicated that they would not
report another soldier who did abuse non-combatants.  Kinda makes the
despotic but not murderous actions of a duly elected president of a
South American country pale by comparison.

You can do something about it.  Instead of spending your time listening
to Hannity or Limbaugh or O'Reilly, try reading a newspaper.  And
voting.  My apologies for the lack of caps.

Only the political hacks.

So we're to blame for Sunni/Shiite terrorists actions? They are the main
ones killing each other and many of them coming from other countries.

And as with most political cretins you also want to censure what we watch.
YOU should apologize for adding this political BS to this thread, OTP or not.

Hey guys, this is off topic for sure.   Not a good thing to argue politics
on this newsgroup.  There are those where all people do is argue and scream
about political stuff.   It's awful.

Actually as the occupying power (a status the United States sought and
received from the UN) the US is responsible for security in Iraq.  As
Colin Powell put it "You break it, you own it."

As with most ignorant and apathetic folks, you want to make it up as you
go along.  Read and watch whatever you like.  In your case I suspect
that does not include much of anything having to do with current events.
Just remember that sticking your head in the sand won't make the bad
news go away.  As the saying goes, if you're not part of the solution,
you're part of the problem.

For someone with essentially nothing to say you seem to have added quite
a bit of BS of your own to this thread.  So much sound and fury
signifying so little.  You've got an aptitude for drivel.
Unfortunately, your's is not a rare talent.

Geeezee Let's see,  along with dealing with my mother's dementia, I should
continually stress myself with the talking heads and constant war footage,
news stories in the papers and never ending deaths of Iraq.
Excuse me while I take a break to deal with my mother's increasing
incontinence, my brother's seemly endless denial and the things where I
might be able to have an affect.  I do not come to this newsgroup for
political rantings.  My head is not in the sand but in reality......June

You are sooooo right, June!   I engage in some political commentary in
another group, but avoid it out of respect and kindness around here.   Not
everyone is up for all the hostile interactions and the sort of emotions
that the troubled times we live in, seem to bring about.

I am glad you posted anyway.   Sorry to hear your brother is still in
denial.   At this point you'd think he'd finally get it.   Has he done any
reading about alzheimers at all?  Or is he just enjoying his blissful
ignorance of the truth?

I had an aunt whose husband died of alzheimers a few years ago.   She never
did 'get it,' and would constantly give him directions to do this or that,
and of course she couldn't remember that he couldn't remember.  She wasn't
interested in learning any new ways of relating to him in his illness
either, and would not discuss it.   They are both gone now, I am sorry to
say.
