This study is intended to help us understand people's knowledge about
the Alzheimer disease, its causes and genetic testing.
The study will be one on-one interviews conducted in the city of
Philadelphia by a MBA consultant from The Wharton School. We are
helping a client in the development of a new product for the diagnosis
of the gene related to this disease and the provision of counseling
services; we need your help and input!
All information received will be 100% anonymous and all results will
be kept private.
Participants won't receive payment but might be eligible for a free
test.
If you are interested in participating please contact us at
smv_sg@yahoo.com.
Your help will help others.
Thanks!

"The" gene? What gene is this? I smell a rat,and not a lab one.

Talking of which, why does "an MBA consultant from the Wharton school" have
a yahoo email address?

This is fishier than one of June's cat's dinners :-)

I agree that it seems fishy, but according the the Alzheimer's
Association site, there is one gene that has identified as a "risk gene"
and others that are deterministic genes that are considered very rare.

So, several genes potentially involved *that we know about*.

To talk of '>>the<< alzheimers gene' implies, to me at least, that there is
a single gene that causes alzheimers. You wouldnt talk of 'the eye colour
gene, or 'the intelligence gene' or 'the skin colour gene'.

If this is not a scam, I wonder if the rest of their study/interview will be
as sloppy?
