surroundings- she gets more parnoid. tomorrow for Easter I am taking her
to my sons house (which I do not wish to do) but she will get there and
withing an hr or so she will be bugging me to go home.
she seems to feel "SAFE" in her own surroundings.
Is this common also?

extremely. Eventually its better to have visitors come to you rather than
the other way round, sounds like you are reaching that point.

Imagine if you were "somewhere", you didnt know how long you had been there,
how long you'd stay, couldnt recall asking any questions about where you
were etc, you'd be acting the same way.

JJ that is very common behavior also.   At a certain point we never took my mother in law anywhere anymore because she was so difficult and begging to go home.   Earlier in her illness it wasn't a problem, but as we went along it became more and more evident that she thrived on routine and anything out of the ordinary would set her out of kilter, sometimes for days and even weeks.   Holidays were especially confusing because she could not differentiate time or date anymore.   Once after new years, she thought it was new years eve every day for months!
