I have not seen any studies of diets specifically associated with
beta amyloid. However it has been suggested that there is some
association between high cholesterol and AD, and recently there
is the still unverified claim that there may be some relationship
between diabetes and AD.
If these are true then healthy diets that hold cholesterol down, and
possibly keep sugar intake down, _might_ lower the risk somewhat.
However many people on this group can testify that they have had
relatives with low cholesterol and no diabetic problems who still got
AD.
It seems that a healthy diet with restricted fat and sugar is good
for you in many ways. It certainly won't hurt, but it's not an infallible
shield either.
