I do not mean to intrude, after reading some of your postings my heart goes
out to you and your loved one.
While I do not have Alzheimer's, I have a couple of problems with my memory
and was looking for strategies to deal with the problem.
1. When solving problems or even writing notes, I get lost, as I cannot
member more then a few minutes back.
2. I cannot remember names of people or processes. This is bad as I am back
in school studying advance science.
Do you have any strategies or ideas where I might look for dealing with such
memory problems?
Thanks
Stephen

Stephen, I would suggest a visit to a neurologist to be checked out. Sorry
to tell you but Alzheimers sometimes starts just that way. You need to find
out for sure.

Steven, please do as Gwen suggests and get a serious checkup. There are
forms of forgetfulness that are reversible and actually have physical causes
that are easily fixed. Not all forgetfulness is alzheimers. On the other
hand, if it does turn out to be, you need to get started on a plan, and some
good meds to keep its progression slow. Good luck to you and let us know
how you fare.
