Hi all

Well there isnt one this week, i was on my way to see him yesterday, and i
call off at my uncles for a cup of tea first etc...

Anyway he told me that he had to call the cops midweek, as he lives next
door to my real mom...anway her husband tried to take a baseball bat to her
and threatend to blow the family away with a couple of guns he said he
had...she ran out into the street screaming, anway my uncle called the cops,
5 armed cars, like the US SWAT team, with helo stormed the house.....

I talked to my uncle yesterday, and where the safe house was where my real
mom was...so drove over, she mentioned the cops name who was incharge of the
case, and its a mate of mine, so i called him and he told me it was all true
etcetc

Anyway im not losing much sleep over it, the last time i saw my mother was
about 2 month ago, when she slammed the door in my face, and before that i
was years ago...

Well next time i go and see granddad along with the dog i will take a couple
of fotos.  The dogs doing fine too!

Hope everyone is ok...

Jules...  Sorry to hear things aren't going quite as well as they
could.  Hopefully things between you and your Mother will get better
some day, and I'll just leave it at that.

We know your Grandfather likes fish and chips.  I'm curious, does he
like "McVitties Milk Chocolate Digestives"?  When an old colleague from
the UK used to come over here, he would bring a couple rolls of them
over for me.  Luckily, I did finally find a place here (among many, I'm
sure) where I could buy them on my own!  They're the best
biscuits/cookies I ever had!

Talk to you later!

Hey Chuck

Yes my granddad likes those...i hate em!!!!  god they taste bad.....makes me
heave just thinking about em!

At the moment im trying to clean my house, as i have a friend fly over from
Berlin next week and stop for xmas....ok so that means i should have
hundreds of fotos to put on my webpage as im showing her around London for a
few days etc....

Im hoping to drive to Germany and Poland on the 26th....dont think i will
be, lots of friends have invited me all over the place.

Evlyn knows the background about my parents, and how i was raised by
grandparents as as niether one wanted me, so to be honest its no great
concern about my mother, when she left her 2nd husband, my first stepdad, me
and him went out celebrating, so that should tell you something about
her...but i had the best grandparents in the world, so no bug loss to me,
some people dont even have that

Jules was fortunate to have loving and good grandparents, who raised him.
Sometimes just even one person who loves a child and cares genuinely, is all
it takes to inspire and instill good values.   I know, because I also had a
loving grandparent who inspired me.

Yea, and 'ya know?  That's why I left it where I did.  I do remember
reading part of the story behind Jules, his parents, and his
grandparents.  I understand.  It's just a shame, though - at least TO
ME.  If Jules is OK with it, then that's fine - I have no place or
right to argue - I know he's got his (legitimate) reasons.

I count myself lucky having had a GREAT Mother who I think sometimes
stayed on this planet just till she was sure I would be OK and a GREAT
Father who unfortunately, was taken early.  I know not everybody is as
lucky, but luckily Jules had his Grandparents and has turned out to be
a good person as a result.

But Jules?  What do you mean you don't like McVitties Milk Chocolate
Digestives!

Just kidding, but man, I love those things.

Hey Jules...  Great to hear from you!  Whereas I'm saddened you don't
get the same joy out of McVitties Milk Chocolate Digestives that your
Grandfather and I do, I hope you have fun in London!  I enjoyed the
small amount of time I spent in the area several years back.

Hey Jules...

I certainly hope you have a great time in London.  I'm hoping to make
it back there sometime in the not to distant future.

Have fun!

Chuck, speaking of McVitties digestives biscuits...my teenaged son has
a buddy who is an emigrant from the Czech republic. The kid's over at
our house all the time and we keep the chocolate covered ones on hand
just for him (i.e. first thing he does when he gets in the door is
start sniffing around for a couple of "bickies". He's become an addict!

Mary, I can't blame the guy!  I love them myself.  In fact, I'm tempted
to go off to a store I know of that sells them today and pick up a pack
or two.  They can be very addicting!

I'd just be happy if any of our local stores would keep *plain*
digestives in stock.

Before I found the "English Store" around where I live, the only other
place I saw them was at a small store at Lake Havasu City in Arizona
where, of course, one of the old London Bridges was transported to
after being decommissioned in England.

They only had the plain ones but I had to have milk chocolate, so I
skipped them.

They do a great job of candy bars, cookies, etc., over in Europe.  At
the store I go to, the Mars bars they sell (English/European version)
are actually what we would get in a Milky Way bar here in the US, but I
felt they tasted just a bit better than our Milky Ways.
