I was off at Disneyworld with our three kids, turning 50 in the magic
kingdom. Basically wasn't home a single weekend in October, so house
looks like a bomb went off in it.
By the way - we had 180 kids at the door on Halloween. Phew!!
Can someone come over here and help me shovel out the mess??

Mary, no one came to my house on Halloween; my house just looks like they
did! I could use some help too!

Wow! We didn't get a single trick or treat-er. We do live in the woods,
so it isn't all that surprising. Glad to hear all is well with you, Mary.
Congrats on turning 50! I just turned 65 in Sept. Now that's feeling
old! :-)

Busy here.....Already went to vote . On my way to help Mom with her shower
this morning. Take the cat to the vet, grocery shop, go back and pick up
Mom and bring her home for supper and wait on the grandkids to get here,
pretty much a normal day Mom turns 87 tomorrow. She said birthdays don't
excite her too much anymore, I've been a member of that club for years!

Jules, I'm glad you and Arthur are seeing the other Arthur so often. Good
for all of you.

Just doing the 'mom' thing. Supervising homework, running kids to activities
and weekend Halloween and birthday parties. Dealing with sick kids. Some
synagogue stuff, too. Just the usual day to day stuff of a stay-at-home.
My mom was having some real problems medically. But things are beginning to
sort out now that we have moved her care to a different oncologist. Getting
her out of a hospital which kept making errors re: her allergies and her
medication orders has been a plus, too. She's in a rehab facility now
recovering from pneumonia. She became very weak from a cascade of stuff;
also is only using the upper lobes of her lungs, so she is getting PT and
OT. Getting her effective RT has been an issue. But my sister is a singer
and has been doing breathing exercises with her is place of RT. It amounts
to the same thing; getting her to use her entire lung(s) when breathing.

Hi Steve,
That is great! I have no idea how we would have coped without some of the
great help we got too. My next door neighbor was the best. She sat for
us many times, allowing us to have some sanity time alone. Good to hear
from you.
