We all have family with dementia here.   I thought I would share a
conversation I had with a cousin the other day.    She was telling me about
a cousin on her mother's side of the family who is in her 50's.   She was
recently diagnosed with Alz.  Since she had no children, and she could no
longer take care of herself, she had to move in with her 80 year old mother.
I know this is sad situation for any family but I cannot image the sadness
of this role reversal.......June

That is awful.  I feel so sorry for the poor mother to have to go through
this.  At an age when she ought to be looked after BY her daughter, she
instead has to look after her daughter.  Sad.

That reminds me of the grandparents who are having to look after their young
grandchildren.  That is just not the time in life to have to do that.  Same
for this mother and daughter.  So very sad.

I don't think that everyone that has Alzheimers...has the same
kind.....My Dad had it and kept his sences pretty much until he
died...My sister has it and I haven't seen her in years but think she
has lost her mind completely.....and I may be forgetful but know what
I'm doing..one thing I've lost is my sence of direction...And I have to
write most everything down if it is important...Like the phone calls my
husband gets....we live in the oil field country and lots of people
working on our land....
