Seen him twice since i got a new car at the end of last week.

Its arranged that on Sunday i take him to visit his younger brother, my
uncle on Sunday, he lives out in the country near the East sea.

My granddad seems happy, they say hes doing well, but i didnt think he
looked too great at the weekend when i saw him. But i hope the day trip will
make him happy, we will goto the seaside, take the dog and my German friend
who is over in 2 days and then visit his brother.

I hopes ok while i am in Germany from next week, gone for nearly 3 weeks and
takin in Poland for a few days....the new car is pretty thirsty on gas, ouch

Will take some pictures when i take my granddad out, will pop them on my
website if anyone is interested.

By chance i saw my other granddad last week, it was his 85th birthday, and i
also saw my real mother for the first time in 2 years......

My other granddad has asked to meet my granddad, both grandparents lived
accross from each other for 30 years maybe, so i hope to take my granddad to
see the other.

One bit of interesting news i found out a few years ago...turned out my moms
dad (grandadad i aint seen for years who i mentioned) wasnt her real father,
turned out her real dad who she  never knew or met, she found out about 8
years ago her real had was a spitfire ace in WW2.

The German boy is the brother of my ex, hes leaving Dresden by coach
tomorrow, gets to London mid Thur and then my city in the early evening, hes
here for a week and then helping me drive to Berlin, im there for a few days
before i move around every couple of days in E Germany.

last week was the first time i had seen my granddad in 2 weeks, since my
black car was destroyed, and he had a nice time with Arthur, but as usual
little A couldnt lay still for long, he wanted to go for a walk, took
granddad some flowers....when i walk in and he sees me he always shouts to
the old fogies that his grandson is here with a big smile on his face!!!!
(guess he smiles more when im leaving)

He says he likes the food there. But must be boring for him doing nothing,
so i cant wait to take him out more when i get back.

Well thats it for now, hope everyone is ok

Jules, I am so glad to see that you finally got your new car.
Hadn't heard from you in a few days.
I'll write or we'll skype soon?  :-)

Jules:

Great to hear from you!  Over the last two days I was going to post one
to the group asking if anybody had heard from you!

I thought you must have been in Germany on the trip you mentioned.  Had
no idea you hadn't yet gone.

Glad to hear you got a new vehicle, also!

Have fun with your Grandfather!

Hey Chuck.

Well looking forward to the trip, i took at some maps earlier, to see if i
can divert from my outbound trip from France to Berlin, to take in the Somme
in Belgium, my great grandfather fought there in WW1, got his 3 medals on my
fireplace, and i had always wanted to take my granddad, but ill health and
finances meant i couldnt, but if i tell him i what i am doing, and take some
pics to show him on my return, where is father fought etc that would mean a
lot to him.....

The new car is ok, not sporty, but its a powerful big BMW touring so should
be upto the trip and also means i can take my grandfather out!!!

bye

Jules:  Sounds like it's going to be a great trip.  I would definately
agree with you that it'd be great to see where your Great Grandfather
fought.  No question it's worth a detour.  And when you get those pics
of where he fought, definately post one or two on your website.

I'm glad to see things seem to be going better for you, especially
car-wise!

Have fun on your trip!
