My father has been in a rehab facility for the past 9 months after brain
surgery for normal pressure hydrocephalus and advanced Parkinson's. He has
been declining quickly over the last couple of months. The lady who cares
for him at night (in addition to the personel at the facility) said that I
needed to come quick if I wanted to see him. I'll be gone for at least a
week. We'll be taking my MIL (who has vascular dementia) with us. The MIL is
healthy for her age, just totally dependant on us to remember anything.
She'll probably do better with us rather than leave her with respite care
and that way we won't have to worry about her.
best to everyone, AW
