Dear Friends,

I think it's going on a year since I have written.  I've been lurking
off & on for about a week.  I'm glad to see some of the same people are
still here.  Even though I dropped out, I still thought of you.  I'm
also sad to see the new names, but this is the best place to be for help.

John has gone downhill as far as memory goes but is still functioning
pretty well.  His biggest problem continues to be at night when he can't
walk or talk.  He has also taken to shaking a lot with these episodes.

I have talked him into seeing my neurologist.  I told him I'm convinced
this guy is better than the other 5 or 6 he has seen combined.  Hope I'm
not setting us up for more disappointment as far as an actual diagnosis
goes.  His appointment will be June 5, so now I have to get medical
records again---I'm sure it will be a lot of fun getting the ones from
Puerto Rico but I'm hoping the VA will expedite things as the important
stuff was all done at the VA Hospital.

Easter, my husband is also aware of his problems.  I see his
frustrations with that so understand yours.

Well, maybe someone can bring me up to date on everyone?

Always,

Char

Char, it is so good to see you post again.  I had wondered about you two so
often.  Sorry the news wasn't better,
but guess that's to be expected, unfortunately.  Please do stay with us and
keep us posted.
Gwen

Char,

Welcome Back!!!!!!!!!!!!

So good to hear from you. We were so worried when the hurricanes went
through!

Sorry to hear about John. Please let us know what your neurologist says. I
really hope you get some concrete answers soon. It's been such a long time.

Adelle

Hi Adelle,

We were among the lucky & had no damage---only a tree topped & it fell
away from the house.  We stayed here as John said he wasn't leaving.  I
know we had guardian angels looking after us.  The storm surge reached a
block from us to the south & the east, and our neighbor says our two
houses are 47' above sea level!

Always,

Char
