Ronny:
I don't think my weekend could've of been as tiring as yours! :-)
Onething I did Saturday was go with one of my brothers to look at some
puppies. Got a male who is half yellow Lab and I think part Blue Heeler?
Fat puppy with Big feet! :-) Named him Joe Bob,Joe for short,a good
Southern name for him! LoL

Stayed with Mom,at the nursing home,
from 10am to 4pm Sunday. She didn't sleep but a bit while I was
there;but ate pretty good. :-) They forget,I found out later,her 1pm med
that's supposed to keep her calm and didn't give it until past 2
o'clock,so Mom got pretty agitated befoe then! (ha)

Went fishing just a bit Sunday evening and caught one crappie. Fish just
weren't biting good! Bummer! :-( LoL

And checked my poultry incubator late Sunday night and had several
little guinea keets hatched out! :-) Got those 8 in the hatching
incubator last night and into a little brooder this evening. Have about
5 more hatched out today;but had to help those out of the shell,so don't
know yet how many of those will be healthy and live? And this coming
Saturday I should have a few more guinea eggs hatching. :-)

Was feeling a bit down this morning,so glad I didn't stay home;but got
cleaned up and went and did some needed shopping. Got several things I
needed;groceries, little cigars,new brooder container,2 shirts,2 pocket
T-shirts and one pair of short summer pants.

Feel better tonight and my back is healing up too,so that's real good!
:-) Really hated it that I couldn't do some yardwork that I was wanting
to get too;but thought it best not to go messing around with the
weedeater until my back was better.

Better get off here soon. Need to get up early and go sit with Mom from
8 to 4 tomorrow.

A good dog is the Very Best Thing In The World.  Congrats to you and Joe
Bob, and may you have many happy years together.

Dana (two good dogs sleeping in her office right now.)

Ronny:
Thank you. :-)

Haven't had much time to spend with Joe Bob this week;but just fed and
petted him a bit. Poor pup was more interested in me noticing him than
he was in eating. :-) Have to spend more time with him. Also see I need
to put my TV antenna wire back up on the side of the house! Left that
down on the ground the last time I changed that wire,pre-puppy and I
see Joe has pulled the wire out from the house foundation! :-( So need
to puppy proof that! LoL And he needs a flea bath. Just saw a few on
him the other day,so need to get rid of those. Then wouldn't care if he
wanted to come in the house some.

So Ronny, if you mix a yellow lab with a blue heeler, do you get a green
pup?  :-)

Ronny:
I hope not Karen! LoL

Joe did get to me this morning with something he did. :-) I haven't
paid him too much attention this week, went out to feed him this
morning, have his feeder on our little front porch,so put his feed
there. Went and got Joe;but instead of him eating at first,he just put
his head up against my leg as I petted him. :-)

Me thinks Joe Bob needs love more than he needs food right now!

Ronnie, maybe you could take Joe fishing?  We tried it but had a problem
with the dog trying to fetch the bait so you may want to watch for that.
You probably know dogs go nuts for catfish bait. :-0  I can't ever tell if
they want to eat it or roll in it but either one sounds as bad as the other.
:-)

Sounds like you need some bonding time with your labraheeler.  Dogs that
don't get enough positive attention will find a way to get negative
attention (any being better than none).

Ronny:
Thank you. :-)

And I really need to get started on my garden! Not sure what I will do
this weekend though? If it doesn't look too much like rain I may go to
a trades day sale a bit south of me? Hard to imagine a little town like
Canton,Texas-population 4,000;but every first Monday trades day the
population swells to around 200,000 people for 3 or 4 days! I haven't
been there in years and the last time I was there I spent money on
things I really didn't need! LoL But there is so much there to see over
acres and acres of ground! :-) Would like to see what animals,
especially poultry are for sale? :-) Probably end up coming home with
something I don't need;but really wanted to buy! LoL Got a little time
to think about this as the trade day goes through this coming
Monday;but the big days are today,Saturday and Sunday. So may go
fishing today. :-) Ooops forgot. Have an appointment with my Doc at
2:45 this evening. Hmmmn, might go fishing before and after that or the
latter? LoL
Barb Terry - 28 Apr 2006 16:11 GMT
Ronny,
Drove past my ole fishing hole yesterday and i can't wait to go
fishing.I could sit there all day.Barb
