I'm sure that no one will remember me :).... I posted back when my mom
was first moved to assisted living in 2003. At the time I had lots of
questions and was new to all of this. This group was a wonderful
resource and I have been a lurker ever since.
My mom lost her battle with Alzheimer's on Dec 28. She went into cardiac
arrest and passed on within 5 minutes. She didn't suffer in the end and
for that I'm grateful.
I want to thank all of you for being out there.... lurking on this group
helped me a lot in knowing I was not alone because at times that is what
I felt like. I'm sure there are hundreds of others out there like me
that don't post but get a great deal of support from this list.

Liz, I'm glad your mom passed quickly and painlessly. My sympathy on your
loss.
Stay with us and maybe you could post at times to help others who might be
lurking. Your experience might help someone else.

May your best memories comfort you in this time of loss. I am so glad she
passed peacefully, and I am happy you have found some help in this group, as
so many of us have.

Hi Liz
I am a Liz too and I am very new to this group so I don't know you but
I do send you my deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother.
You are probably right about there being lots of lurkers out there who
do not post but I sure wish that you all would post even if just to be
recognised as a lurker as I am sure that you and other lurkers probably
have lots of advice and wisdom from their experiences that may help
others to deal with the issue of dementia in their loved ones.
However I do respect anyone's need to remain silent but interested as I
am sure that this group has provided lots of comfort and good advice to
those out there who don't post
I do hope the fact that your mother is now at peace will bring you
comfort in you loss
