The either you *arent* set up correctly, or you have an ISP that takes along
time for posts to arrive.

not just my messages - none of anybody else's are showing up either....
no new messages since I signed up - even though, obviously, there are,
since they're here when I access it via google groups

I use outlook express which allows me to control every aspect of newsgroup
use.  I have no idea how to use newsgroups using anything else, though I
know that there are ways.

I see your posts, and I don't know what I could suggest to help.

Evelyn

Just this group or all other groups? How are you accessing it? OE or
something else?

yup... outlook express.... same as I've always used.... all I did was
change the server settings (and the length of the server time out as
per the site's instructions) .... it has no problems logging in ....
connects, authorizes, etc... just always says "0 new messages" in the
bar at the bottom

but there ARE *whine*

other groups work no problem... new messages download ... haven't
posted any messages but presumably they'd work

maybe I'll try unsubscribing and then re- subscribing ...can't hurt,
right?

woo hoo!  didn't work the first time... but unsubscribed, did a reboot, and
here I am
