all the posts these days....

Just thought I'd mention that it's very cool to come check and find all
sorts of new posts to read lately

Hope people will continue to stick around and to contribute!

I agree and I think it's due to the relaxed atmosphere.  This is one of the
few NG I've seen that doesn't have problems with flaming, isn't obsessive
about where/how you post and the trolls mostly stay under the bridge.  Don't
you think it feels much more like a community?

IMO, if communication isn't the main point of a newsgroup, what is?

But,but Karen where is that TB troll?! I need that one! When it bothered
me the other day,I threatened to cook it by putting it in a new stew!
LoL As you can see,at times I can get pleasure and fun out of some
trolls! :-){BG}

Ah,now I must get offline for a bit and get back to cleaning my bedroom!
:-)

P.S.
BTW,I got up this morning and came into the living room and set down in
my recliner to put on my shoes. Chair had a towel on it that I had
spread there;but there was something white on the towel. Don't remember
if I realized it was a Depends or not? But I wasn't full awake,
so I sat down on it and it turned out it was a wet Depends! :-( Oh joy!
LoL Well, that wasn't what I said when I felt that wetness through the
bottom of my nightshirt; :-) but then maybe such as that is better left
unsaid?! LoL What a way to get fully woke up! LoL

The community you have when you don't want a community!

Mebbe better phrased as "The community you don't want to be part of".

Anthony, I tend to believe in the "S*it Happens" philosophy.  And if you're
going to have to deal with the s*it that happens, it's better doing it with
a supportive newsgroup community than one that worries more about form over
content or gets into flame wars.  I think we're all fighting big enough
battles here that we don't have time to wrangle over minutia.  The whole top
post/bottom post debate just seems silly to me -- who gives a flip if you
can tell what the poster is saying?  But to some NGs it's like telling a
Baptist it's okay to drink whiskey.  (don't know if Baptists are
tee-totalers in your country)

How many net nannies _can_ dance on the head of a pin?

Karen, those two comments were entirely to be laughed of.

Sorry I didn't catch that last night.  Musta been Friday fatigue.  I've
heard people say that sort of thing here.  But heck, I don't want to be a
part of rush hour traffic and I don't have any choice in that either.  It
would be good if the people in traffic were as nice as the people here
though.  :-)

I agree with you whole heartly.  I went a NG and I asked a question.  Boy I
never do that again.
This NG no matter how unintellegent my question is.  They help.

Thank you very much
Ann

They have not yelled at my typing or grammar either.
This is a great group, I thank god for them.  I needed this group so badly.

Ronny:
It is really nice at that. :-)

Right now though I'm having trouble keeping up! (ha) But then I post to
some degree in several discuss groups that have interests of mine in
them. So I'm a bit behind in 3 or 4 or more groups right now! :-) Not
way behind;but behind.

Getting a bit of stress in one group over my not quoting/smallifying my
text like computer users. Doing close to the best I can on that now;but
will be glad when I also get my old computer online so that I can
quote/smallify text quickly when I'm posting in a Usenet discuss group.

Also presently getting some stress in another group over someone saying
I believe something I don't believe at all and never have. Bugs me
because the couple of people saying that should know better as we have
posted together a deal and that for a long time.

Mom and I have both ate a bit of breakfast now and I really need to get
offline in a bit. May read one more post! :-) But I really need to get
offline and get back to work on cleaning out my bedroom. Got a good
start on it awhile back, quit when I got sick and now have started back
some. And very satisfied with what I got done yesterday evening. :-)

Have now run upon some printed out paper I have stacked on a dresser in
my room. Just a bit of a paper stack maybe 3 inches high. Sure I will
find more of that about as I continue cleaning house. :-) Hate to throw
that used but good paper in the trash,so have cleaned out a plastic 5
gallon bucket to soak the paper in and intend to make papermache out of
it. Just not sure what I will make out of the papermache pulp? But then
first things first, gotta soak that paper! :-)
