Awhile back I was talking in here about my recent bout with poison ivy.
At first I didn't even think about that. I thought I had a bad heat
rash. Then the lady who stays with Mom said she thought it was poison
ivy. So I figured she just might be right. Other on other groups
suggested otherthings.So the heat rash or whatever that was mostly went
away and I was real happy about that;but then bam,I broke out in itchy
hives from my ears to my toes! So I studied up in what I thought it most
likey was and bought some OTC meds while shopping about a week ago.
Somethings got a little better,somethings a lot better and then about
48+ hours ago,somethings got real bad what with the itching and all.:-(
So I gave it up and got Mom to call one of my sisters this early this
morning. Got her to tell her that I needed someone to take me to the
doctor this morning-the sooner the better! LoL I mean,it was miserable
the 48 hours before that and I doubt I slept 30 minutes during that
whole time!

So,got to the doctor this morning. Seemed to take forever to get there!
LoL And Mom was cool so sister turned on her car heater. Oh that was
misery when that hot air hit my itching body! But we didn't have far to
go,got there,got in,doctor took a look at my breaking out and got me a
shot for that,plus three other prescriptions. And I was so happy to get
that shot for the itching,that I completely forgot to ask my doctor what
he thought I had! LoL But got that,some antibiotics,something for the
itching and swelling in places and a hydrocortisone mixture of some
sort.

So it seems things are headed in the right direction here. Hate to say
that too fast;but then I'm going to anyway.

And last night I did do my best to take somethings that I thought would
make me sleep. An antihistamine,the late my sinus meds that have an
antihistamine and a couple of hours after that,Excedrin PM. None of that
put me to sleep. But I did get a bit of sleep earlier this evening after
the shot for the itching kicked in. Then 3 or 4 hours of sleep later on
after I soaked my hide in something called modified Burow's Solution.
That helped a lot too. More to go,a good deal more;but hopefully I'm
finally headed in the right direction and on the mend. :-)
