I swear by the flu shot. I get one every year and I have been doing pretty
well in not getting so sick with whatever yearly bug comes down the pike the
way I used to. But that doesn't mean I never can catch anything, I know it
just immunizes me from one or two of the ones making the rounds. A couple
of times my husband has gotten very sick with cold/flu and I escaped it, so
maybe it was the flu shot that prevented it, and maybe it was just luck.
I do love green tea, not for any special health benefit, but because it
tastes so good. I also like regular tea with a piece of lemon squeezed
into it. Maybe the vitamin C from the lemon is helpful.

I know what you are saying Evelyn, but I've only
had the flu once or twice in my life and can't
really say for sure that the flu shot ever helped me.
Though I have taken them yearly for a long time.
However...I missed my flu shot last year because
of the shortage and did not have any problems
all winter.
Rosie never had any significant flu or cold
problems and was adamant about not taking
the flu shot. She was convinced that it would
give her the flu.
And we both know that pro and con articles for
most any subject can be found on the net.
