Have talked to Mom's primary care physician, who is also uncomfortable with
waiting. She has referred us to a breast specialist to review the films and
decide if a biopsy is in order. Her thinking, like mine, is that if this is
cancerous, better to get it out now with a lumpectomy under local anesthesia
than wait for a full-scale mastectomy with general, knowing that general
would be one of the worst things we could do for Mom.
Thanks for all who replied and helped me not deel like a paranoid alarmist
daughter.

That is great, Songbird. I hope it all turns out to be nothing to worry
about, but even if it does, you will know you did the right thing by looking
into it immediately anyway :-)
