What an inspirational site.....

I have recently become close to a couple, and have had my first brief
encounter with AD.

I am trying to catch up as much as possible to be of use to them both.

The wife seems so functional when we are together, and I understand
basically how rates of regression and symptoms can vary greatly.

I'm going to introduce him here in the next day or two, and from what I've
seen just today, he is going to be in wonderful company.

The one constant that I have found in general, is out of trauma comes the
greatest of human qualities, and is here in "spades".

Coincidentally (just befor I met them...dont believe in coincidences btw:-))
I watched the movie "Notebook".

I suspect this was an accurate example of a particular progression, although
the Romeo and Juliet aspect was a "bit Hollywood"...

Was this well grounded in fact?

Thanks in advance....

As I understand it, "The Notebook" was a
work of fiction inspired by the grandparents
of the writer's wife.

If you would like to read a true account of a
man's unwavering devotion to his wife...read
all the messages in the Google Groups ASA
archive from "Ron Van Buren".

His messages tell a true love story.

=====================
You're welcome.

I'll bet you remember Ron.

His messages were and still
are a big inspiration to me. I've
often thought of what it might
be like if my wife was stricken
with this malicious disease.

I just pray that I would be strong
enough...mentally and physically...
to care for her as well as Ron
did for his wife.
