I'm still cleaning on the far back room of our house-the one I wrote
about before and called a true junk room! LoL Oh,I have piled boxes, etc.
of stuff back there for years when I wasn't sure what to do with
somethings? Keep them, throw them out, give them away or what?

Ah,dusty back there and pretty musty too until I got to one window and
left it open for a couple of days. That helped a good bit.

Now I'm down to the last bit. Have all but one piece of furniture out of
there and that one piece I've already completely cleaned out-just kept a
very few things out of it that were worth the keeping. (ha) But the
floor back there is so dusty, etc. and I'm just mad/Po'd because I can't
find my dust mask and I know I have some!  I've already bothered my
lungs some just stirring stuff up back there as I moved out boxes and
such and sorted. Helped thought that I took nearly everything out in the
backyard and fresh air to sort. But I know me and I know I don't dare do
any sweeping in that back room, stirring up a lot of dust without first
finding and using a dust mask. Just out of sorts this late evening
because I still haven't found those.

Also hope a brother of mine got me two new trash burning barrels this
week and hope he brings them over soon. My old one is wearing out and I
have it nearly full of ashes what with all the stuff I've burnt in there
lately! (ha) Nice that my brother can get us free discarded barrels
where he works. :-) Could of used them today.

It's weird in a way that not finding those dusk masks and all could get
me down. I don't know if I'm getting depressed;but I know I sure haven't
been happy about all that this evening! Just my personality I guess,as I
get started on something like this last cleaning job and I don't like
anything to slow me down or that puts a temporary stop to something like
that. Plus,I'm getting close to the end of that one room cleaning job
and it could be I'm getting somewhat depressed just thinking about what
all else needs doing?! LoL

Can't find the dust masks and can't finish up that back room until I do.
So this evening I was thinking then I need to get started on another
room. Thankfully none of the rest are like that back room! LoL Two
rooms, including my bedroom are messy, just not horribly so! LoL

That I think is the best thing to do since I can't find those dust masks
and I can't go to town until next week and get some more. And I have
thought,I clean some on these other rooms and I just might find them!
LoL

You're suffering from a form of empty nest syndrome for one thing. But
forget that. A good dust mask thingy is a wet bandana. Just form one
like the old cowboy days, wet it, wring out most of the water, tie it
around your face and go get them dust devils! Ride 'em cowboy. ;-)

Ronny:
Don't want to forget it! LoL Just kidding you;but not kidding either!
LoL I have thrown out a lot of stuff and or put things in the truck that
I need to drop off at Goodwill next week or take to our pasture trash
dump. And I should say that I'm a packrat about a lot of things-got that
from my Mom. LoL But yet over the years we've gotten so much stuff in
our 7 room house-this house isn't what I call small; but then it's not
large either by any means!

This last year we still had two large beds up even though I only use the
one in my bedroom and Mom sleeps on her hospital bed that's in the
living room. So last winter I took down the bed in the room I wasn't
using and got that out of my way. Wanted to make more room in there for
what I already had and wanted to put in there. Got a lot cleaned up in
there and need to finish that. And the good part is I already have a lot
of that done from last winter. :-)

But the thing is,I pretty well know what I want to use that old bedroom
and small back room for. I know pretty much how I want them redone.

I wish I could find one in the house! LoL I thought of a hankerchief;but
that didn't seem big enough? Besides,I haven't been able to find any of
mine for awhile! Have needed to buy somemore or else look better for
where Mom might of stashed them! LoL

I'm thinking now I might try a damp hand drying towel? That should work
if I can figure out how to tie it good behind my head. :-)

Right now though I should go to bed, read somemore on a good book I'm
on,get some sleep and let tomorrow's trouble wait until tomorrow! LoL

Hope you find them quickly.  Can imagine how much you want to finish what
you started,
Gwen

Ronny:
I want to finish and yet in someways I think I don't either and that
because I've already been thinking on what comes next and that leads to
some unknowns. But enough of that! LoL

Mostly I do just want to finish with this part and be done with it!
Dusted all the books and such in there last night that were on a medium
sized bookcase. Got all of that sorted out and that bookcase outside
this morning. Did just a little work in there today and tonight my lungs
are clogged up some. :-( Nothing bigtime;but enough for me to know that
I really, really need a dust mask or something like that before I do
more. And the good part is that a good nights rest will do a lot to help
with the clogged up part. :-) Had it worse than this several days ago
and that cleared up in a day or two.

Sorry for writing out so much;but that does help me at times like this.
Helps me feel better and that helps me keep going!:-)

Bud,a great idea you gave me with the damp bandana trick! :-) Didn't
have that;
but a dampened cup towel tied like a bandanna worked just fime. :-)
Too,I tucked the damp ends under my T-shirt to keep out dust from that
direction as well. And that damp cup towel felt great as well what with
me cleaning in an unairconditioned room, part of the house and it being
around 95° out! LoL

So,now have all of that floor swept and cleaned up except for one part
under one piece of furniture. Just taking a break here and drinking a
tall glass of iced tea before I tackle that last part! LoL

P.S.
Something else I thought to do after getting started and that was to put
a box fan in one window of that room as I swept. That pulled a lot of
the airborne dust out really well.

Thanks again for the tip on me using the wet bandanna! :-)

P.S. 2 :-)
Another thing that got me going today was I thought I could either sit
here and feel sorry for myself or else get back to work?! LoL Decided
getting back to work would feel better! LoL Too,I had already slept more
this morning, ate more than I needed,so couldn't go back to sleep and
sure didn't feel like eating anymore. :-) So that just left me with the
two choices of feeling sorry for myself or getting back to work with
what I had at hand! LoL And I've felt sorry for myself before, got
depressed and there's just no fun in that!LoL

If you had one of those wet --dry vacs  no need to  disturb the dust...I
remember as a kid my mother walked around with a wet old cloth mask
during hay fever season ...that was before AC.
Visitors would ask where's Tonto..
She did not see any humor in it..

There is a vaccuum that I saw once, and I understand they still make them.
It is called a Rainbow, and all the dirt is sucked down through a reservoir
of water, so nothing ends up out in the air again.  They are supposed to be
really good for people with dust or allergy problems.  Only thing is they
are ridiculously expensive.

My son and DIL have a rainbow and it is amazing to see the dirt collect in
the water!
My son can't stand a regular vacuum cleaner or dusting the regular way; it
stops him up completely.  So Jayne uses the rainbow to dust as well as doing
the floors.  It can also shampoo the carpets.  She loves it.

about 5:15pm,got cleaned up took an hour nap, then got all the birds fed
and guineas up. That hour nap wasn't enough! LoL
