Busy

Would of liked to have been on here more lately;but have been pretty
busy. Mom's been pretty good. In fact a little too good in some ways :-)
as she's up and around the house a lot this evening and I was hoping she
would be taking a nap by now!:-) I've already had my nap;but am still
resting by being online. :-) Just gave Mom a Benydryl so she can sleep
in a bit. As she's up and about looking for one of her brothers who died
a few years ago. Now Mom's looking for Dad-also deceased. Told her her
brother was at his home and that Dad had gone to town shopping.

Decided lately to get to cleaning up on my Dad's old bedroom. That room
hasn't been used for a bedroom in a long time and it had more or
less-well more, :-) turned into a junk room for awhile now. Gave my
oldest sister Dad's old bed years ago. Of course,we want to keep that
one in the family as it has been in the family since at least the early
1900's,when it was his Mom's bed.

Got an old worn out stuffed chair out of that room the other day.
Plus, sorted through some boxes. Then yesterday went back to sorting
through more boxes and plastic bags that I had put things in before.
(ha) Some clothes, etc. were to throw away, some to keep and some to go to
Goodwill. Got a good bunch of Mom's clothes, that she will never wear
again, that will be going Goodwill. A good bit of other stuff was winter
clothes and blankets that I'm either washing or airing before I put them
back up.

One biggy, yesterday evening and last night, was getting an old heavy
hide-a-bed couch out of that room. It was the one Mom used to sleep on
in the living room and it really wasn't worth keeping. I also was
determined not to pick it up again because it was so heavy! (ha) I know
if I hurt my back again,as I have in the past, it can take 6 weeks or
more to get over that. So,didn't want to take a chance on that. What I
ended up doing was taking a razor blade knife, hammer, crowbar and
screwdriver to that couch! LoL And I finally did get it all apart and
out of the house by 9:45 last night! :-) And man was I ever give out by
then! LoL But glad to have it out. I mean to save and use some of the
good lumber that was in it;but can take the rest off to our back of the
pasture junkpile when my cousin comes to stay with Mom this week.

Went back to work on that old bedroom this morning. Finished cleaning
off the old freezer that's back there, other needed things boxed and put
up in the closet, floor swept  and mopped out the old freezer and left
it open to dry out. We don't use it now;but I'm thinking I may store
some of my tools in it? And I got my work table moved around back there
to where I wanted it. It has my cabinet incubator on one end of it.

Had to clean up another small brooder then for the 16-2 week old guineas
I have. They really needed that as their first one was getting too small
for them. Now they have a little more room and I've temporarily put the
bigger brooder box on my work table. Have it fixed so things are easy to
clean up every day. Now I just need to clean up and do a bit of work on
an outside pen,so I can get them moved out there.

Just stopped Mom from taking all the sheets off of her bed! LoL Don't
know where she put the two pads that were on it?! Got more pads and got
her to lay down. Hope she will rest soon.

Now I'm thinking about tackling another back room. Oh mercy, that is a
real junk room! (ha) It has been accumulating stuff for years now! If I
wasn't sure where to put something and didn't want to throw it away, then
it went in the back room! :-) I think I may get a little start on that
room today?

Also, like Boydette,I've also just recently, started my own WebTV/MSN/TV
club group. Kind of a bad time for it to start what with a lot going on
that I needed to do and keep up with; LoL but I decided to go ahead and
start one since my favorite old group over there went under. Had a time
right at first with 2 to 4 posters in that group who just wanted to
cause trouble. Had to take a good bit of time to get that straightened
out and think most of it is now. I hope! One nice thing about having my
own MSN/TV club discussion group is that I can temporarily or
permanently ban a person from posting in that if I need to. I can also
delete any post that needs deleting. So that's a nice feature too. :-)

I better go for now. Have rested enough.LoL

Hi Ronny,

I always enjoy reading your posts, since you give such a nice insight into
your life with them.

Now are you interested in coming up north a bit, to help me tear into our
spare room and get rid of that rats nest here?  LOL!

Since Ida died I have been re-organizing and cleaning and it just seems it
never gets finished.

Ronny:
Thank you :-) I am very tempted to take you up on that offer since it
has gotten so warm/hot down here in Texas! LoL But I still have that
back room to do,so I had better not. :-) Several things didn't go as I
thought they would-as I planned- this week,so I have yet to get back to
that room :-( and that bugged me some for awhile;but hopefully I can get
another start on it this week.

Hi Ronny,

After a very chilly spring, it suddenly got really hot here in the northeast
too!

We helped my son move into his new home yesterday and it was very very hot@
