Ronny's NE Texas Chili

1lb ground beef
1 yellow onion
1 10oz can tomatoes and green chilis*
1 8oz can tomato sauce
1tbs chili powder
1tsp parprika
1tsp garlic powder
1tsp cayenne pepper (powder)
1tsp dried flaked cilantro
2tsp oregano (flaked)
1tsp salt
1tsp black pepper
2 cups hot water

Cut up onion and saute in large skillet with a small amount of oil. Set
aside.

Brown ground beef in large skillet. Pour off fat if needed. Added cooked
onion to this and stir together.

Add two cups hot water, tomatoes and green chilis* and tomato sauce, plus
all spices to ground beef and onion mixture.

Simmer for about an hour. Serve with crackers and cheese.

*You don't have to use the whole 10oz can of tomatoes and green chilis
if you want a milder chili. You can just use half.

Also, all spices are to taste. I like the amount I used;but you can use
more or less and then adjust the spices to your taste.

Ronny:
You're welcome. :-)

That chili was good;but it is way spicy!LoL
Kind of crazy for me to make it too when my stomach/gut was already
giving me some trouble! LoL Hope I soon get over whatever has been
bothering me for about 2 weeks!

Went shopping this week though and bought some hot pepper plants. A
Mexican kind,4 habenero and 4 pimento. Gotta get some jalepeno too. Want
to make my own salsa this year. :-)

I like things spicy, but my husband likes them extra spicy.  We both
compromise a little on that :-)
