Florence A - 13 Mar 2005 21:51 GMT It is a lovely day here in NE Tx. So why am going back to snow--well maybe snow will be finished, but bought my tickets to Newark, NJ for the 29th?
I just can't do this caregiving anymore. God how bad I feel about this. I think my kids think I will change my mind..
I've grown to like TX.. Nice people. Am wondering if I can resume any of my former life...what will I do? Life as I knew it stopped over 12 yrs ago..I look back and sort of remember a passing blur.
Mostly, now as I read posts, ..I want to say to most posters "this too shall pass." Don, my husband, is still a nice man---but I have sure mellowed.
So many stories! Some funny, some sad.. Florence
Gwen Love - 13 Mar 2005 22:35 GMT Florence, is the NH in Newark? Please, please don't feel bad about having to give up caregiving, and don't you dare feel guilty! There is just so much that one can do and it is very smart to know when you have reached your limit. Just keep us posted, okay. Gwen

sometimes it's just time to let the pros do it.

It is so good to see you posting again!
Florence, there is NO GUILT allowed around here :-) Caregiving is a relentless, exhausting, tough job and there just comes a time and a place where it is better to allow a professional setting to take over.
There is a difference when people come to caregiving as a job, and after 8 hours they go home and return another day rested and refreshed. Anything that is done 24/7/365 is pretty mind bending, no matter how you love the person.
We had quite a bit of snow this winter, but I hope that by the 29th it will be all over with!

Florence A - 14 Mar 2005 07:52 GMT Dear Friends-
The NH will be hopefully in Paramus NJ
Don took part of a finger off in the snow blower --it was during a time when he'd still argue about his competency about everything & anything..
So I decided we'd head south to Tx each yr before the snow flew. . We have a son & daughter here.
And also have a son & daughter in NJ. My daughter & family is coming here for Easter & I am returning with them. It's about a 3+ hour trip..
Things are greening up & budding here..
Pray things go well..

Ronny: Amen!
BTW,I noticed my redbud tree was blooming this past Sunday! :-) [As I said in my other post,I'm between Dallas and Texarkana.] Before that it was the narcissus, daffodils & two wild flowers blooming in the yard. And it was yesterday or day before that I noticed one of my iris was all budded out and set to bloom soon! :-) And a lot of trees around here are budded or already putting on small leaves.
As you know our weather changed from Sunday to Monday! LoL Just glad I remembered to cover up my two small tomato plants Sunday late! Planted those Saturday before last and I would hate to lose them to a late possible frost!
And remember, you take good care of yourself.

Texas is beautiful this time of year it is true. I went to visit my daughter one year when the bluebonnets were blooming, and they are just the most exquisite little flowers with the prettiest scent!

Ronny[Wed. morning] Those bluebonnets are something else! :-) Hope the following Url works as it shows a real closeup of a bluebonnet and Indian paintbrushes. I love to see those red paintbrushes in among the bluebonnets.:-) And we also have yellow paintbrushes;but there aren't near as many of them as the reds. Plus,in the pic below there is a small leafed green more viney type plant. I'm almost sure that's the wild vetch with purple flowers that also blooms here in spring. :-) http://mishopi.image.pbase.com/u42/tracyjo/large/27491685.PCDSC07168.jpg
One more day of cold and wet here before it warms back up to the 60's and 70's! :-) Need to go ahead and burn the trash in my burning barrel today while it is so damp and wet. Then tomorrow back up in the 60's with lots of sunshine! Yeah! LoL
P.S. Have been doing the cut, copy & paste on recent posts as I can do that from my keyboard. Would be smallifying all posts I reply to;but the webpage I have to do that with on WebTV has been busy at times lately.

Thanks Ronny,
Great photo! I saved it and will ask my nephew how to make it a desktop wallpaper. He does all my computer stuff.
Here there is still quite a lot of snow on the ground. We are in Woodstock NY in the middle of the Catskill mountains and not too far from the Hudson River. We live in a beautiful forest with a lovely stream running through the backyard. I could relate to your well woes, since we have a well and a septic here too. But it is worth it to be in such a beautiful place with the mountains all around.
Winter is losing its sting though, and the snow was beginning to melt over the last few days. I noticed a few little buds of some bulb plants just starting to come up.... maybe crocuses. -- Regards, Evelyn
