She had some bad luck while cutting potatoes.  She tried to add the end of
her ring finger right hand to the potatoes!  She didn't go to ER but had a
nurse come by and gave her directions for taking care of it.  She is still a
little shaken over it so some prayers and good wishes are appropriate,
please.

Oh,I've done that before and there is no fun in it at all! :-(

Thanks Guys!

No, twasn't fun. But as long as I clean it twice a day and keep it bandaged
otherwise, it seems to be doing OK.

This happened Sunday evening. Took off a 1/8th inch thick piece of skin from
the top of my ringfinger; about a button's size. It wasn't bleeding a lot
(cause I was applying 'lots' of pressure), and there was nothing to stitch,
so I didn't go to the ER. Already keep a small supply of Tylenol # 3's for
when my arthritis acts up, so I was covered in that dept., too.

Did go to my PCP's the next day for a tetanus shot and to get bandaging
instructions.

Thanks for the concern!

Now this is what I once did and not Adelle; :-) but I did want to give
out this little hint. Never, never, ever try to cut a hard carrot with a
sharp as a razor fish fillet knife! I know, tried that one time when I
was in a hurry and whoa, are those fish fillet knives ever sharp! :-( LoL

Now that you mention it, whenever I get my knives really sharpened, I always
manage to cut myself.   I prefer them not quite super sharp, but not dull
either.   I know that is probably weird, but it is how I prefer it.
