Forgive me for saying so, but maybe Ida
will be able to go home soon. I hope the
pain meds make her comfortable for her
journey.

I forgive you of course, since it is my wish also that her journey be swift
and painless, but it is still going to hurt rather a lot. It just doesn't
seem fair does it? But then life never is, really.

May I just say ditto of what John said.

I hope that her end is peaceful and without pain. I think that
you've done everything you could to make sure that she would be
able to end her days with dignity.
I hope that you and your husband will be able to let her go when
the time comes. I really do recommend hospice for their support
& counseling services at times like these. Their volunteers and
professionals were both a great help to our family as well as my
mother.
