Thought today that I would find the water tank I needed at my aunt's
place. She's deceased now and one of her son's and his wife live there
now. She had a Ruth-berry pump and tank like mine that she used before
another one of her sons got her hooked up to the local water line. I was
sure that old tank with motor was out in her old dairy barn. My cousin
said to come get it if I could find it. Looked all over that old barn 3
times and in a hay barn and couldn't find it. Went back to cousin's
house and told him. Thought I would have to get his daughter,who stays
with Mom,to start calling around to see what business had the tank I
needed.

Cousin surprised me by telling me to just get the pump and tank out of
their pump house as they weren't using it anymore since his younger
brother got the place hooked up to the local water company. :-)

Said that one was running fine the last time they used it. Didn't mean
to ask him for that one as I thought they would want to keep it. But got
that one out of his pump house and got the pipe and foot valve out of
the well and took all of that home. [Had already gotten my tank and
motor out of my pump house Saturday.]

Got home and got the other tank and motor in my pump house.Those things
are heavy! LoL Got all the pipes hooked up from the well to the pump
tank and quit about then as it was starting to get dark.

Mean to put on a new pressure switch tomorrow-already had bought that
and had it in the truck. Then have to hook up the pump tank outlet to my
home water line. Hope I have all the fitting I need;but if not I can get
those at a nearby store or in town.

After that it's just a matter of priming the well with about 10 gallons
of water,putting in some air,seeing if it works and seeing that no pipe
connections are leaking?

I am sore tonight and really tired. Have slept 1 hour then woke up. I am
going to be so sore tomorrow! LoL Took my aspirin just awhile ago! LoL
Just hoping all will turn out well tomorrow. But if not,it may be
Wednsday before I get it all working right with no leaks,etc. Right now
I'm just happy that I'm this far along.:-) And that it wasn't cold
today;but just a little cool and cloudy. Would of prefered sunshine and
warmer for this;but hey,you can't always get everything you want! LoL

Today did not go good. My cousin,the home health care lady came early. I
got the rest of the pipe connections on my well pump hooked up,primed it
with 10 gallons of water and started putting the air in the tank. Right
after that part is when I would of turned it on to see if all was
working well and with no leaks. But as I put air in this 2nd tank a hole
blew out in the side of it :-( and I said a few unmentionable words! LoL

So if all goes as planned tomorrow my cousin will come at noon to watch
Mom for 4 hours and I'll be going to town to buy a new well pump and
tank. Have 2 sure and 1 possible place to check out for that.
