Thank you for your posts...Raven you and I must be twins separated at
birth...I am so exhausted and I read the posts of those who did the care
thing in their home....there aint no way...I just cant do it...also I
read they always want to "go home"...I had to stop visiting my dad cause
its a freaking fight every time cause he wants me to take him out of the
home and he gets so worked up several people get involved...he dont
treat  my sis that way but then he always treated me different...I cant
break a 53 yr long habit...I dont know why but when he orders me I turn
into a 10 yr old....mom has her own sick agenda....the end

Boydette, have you ever sought support from AA. I know they have groups
dedicated to the adult children of alcoholics, trying to cope with the
pain of their younger lives AND learn to disengage from the crazy
making.

You are really enmeshed, and it isn't healthy for you.

I agree, reading your posts made me almost feel good, lol.  I was so
glad to know I wasn't alone in my frustration.

As I told her, she really does need to take a break and let
whatever happens happen.

The organization you refer to is called Al-Anon.  They do have
support groups for adult children of alcoholics.
