hi feather,
(i am still typing one handed). i fell and broke my right shoulder in
november. the day before thanksgiving i had 4 metal rods and two screws
put into my arm to hold the bones together. they just removed the rods
last week in a second surgery, but the screws are still inside. i have a
long road ahead of me with physical therapy to regain the use of my arm and
shoulder again. :-(

May that road to complete recovery be shorter and easier than it
appears...

Aw, sheesh! I *do* remember reading about your having broken your shoulder.
Sometimes I wish they'd remove the rods from my spine, but then again. .
.they're all that's holding it together anymore. . .disks are gone, the
titanium cages at one level didn't "take," and the screws with the rods
are my only support - except, of course, the strengthened muscles. . .
Do go forward with the physical therapy. Once you get over that hump of
pain initially, you'll begin to feel better in no time.
Many gentle hugs and blessings,
Feather
