Well, it's really been quite surprising: moving day has so far gone
without a hitch.
They (her friends), made her a part of the process and she was 100%
"into" it, complete with decorating the new place, setting up some
plants on the new porch, etc. She was having a great time last I checked. :)
So you see, her friends were right, and I was wrong. Ah, well. . .
. . .we will see what happens in the next few days after they all leave.
See how confused she gets, that sort of thing. . .
More later,

They were lucky but thats good, as to the next few days, it may go better
than you hope, remember (!!) that she may not even recall where she was
previously living. My father was dead against having a new kitchen, we got
him out of the house while it was done, when he came back he he didnt even
notice it was different, though it was like being in someone elses house.

She may very well indeed not remember where she was before - remember,
though, it's in the same complex where she was used to walking from
before. Now it's a bigger apartment, and in a farther corner away from
the street. It is our hopes that this will be safer for her in the long
run, however long that run may turn out to be.
In the meantime, her niece is up for the next day or so, to continue
helping her get settled in. . .
and it's been very quiet the last couple of days. That's a tremendously
good sign.

Well, it went totally without a hitch.
Yesterday, I took her to the day program and when we got back, I let her
find the new place, since the old one is in complete view of the parking
area. She started in the direction of the old place at first, so I asked
her, "Where are we going? I need you to show me." And she did.
She's settling in quite well and seems to enjoy being in the new place.
The cable will be turned on today and her niece is leaving after that.
The rest of today will tell how much better she does without someone
right there, but I will be here because I am working at another clients,
in the same building. This evening one of her friends is coming to take
her to their house for Thanksgiving. She will be back on Friday or
Saturday, I guess, and next week, a new live-in caregiver will be
testing the waters with my help.
Lots of prayer now! :)
