After our crazy phone call in the middle of the night from the nursing home
the other night, things have been peaceful. Ida is calm and apparently not
in any pain (thank goodness!). Tonight Peter went to visit her just around
dinner time, and she was in good spirits, and she saw him before he saw her.
Would you believe she called to him in Estonian to come over where she was!
I told him he was so lucky that she still knows him, that there are so many
whose parents don't know who they are any more. She was eating and
apparently quite comfortable.

Awwwww! What a great report, Evelyn! I'm so glad to hear that Ida
isn't in pain.
Love,

I'm happy to hear Ida isn't in any pain. Still recognizing Peter is really
great.
On my mother's best days, she thinks I am her sister and on most days she
doesn't have a clue who I am and ignores me as a stranger.
