ABC nightly news had a piece on a new drug under study for the treatment of
Alzheimer's. It effects the bodies production of the damaging brain protein
which they believe leads to ALZ.

Does anyone know anything about it and what its name is?

I didn't catch the show.  Perhaps they were referring to the new and
improved vaccine that's in the works.  A prior vaccine trial by Elan
was disasterous.

Or, it could have been any number of current leads.  Did they mention
anything about lithium?

It's called Alzhemed. Supposed to do more than just treat the symptoms of
AD. The other article, which Evelyn is referring to, said that Aricept given
to people prior to diagnosis of AD MAY delay the onset. We all knew that
already!

Alzhemed...Go to MSNBC news...quite a write-up.  Reading them give "oh-
so much hope"  then reality sets in..
