I'll be gone for a few weeks --- I *am* going to do something
that I've been wanting to do for years, go cheer Lance Armstrong
on as part of the crowd alongside the roads at the Tour de France
for the next couple of weeks.  I'll tent camp in the Alps and
Pyrenees for the hillclimb stages, pedal off some of my flab, and
have a great time eating French food and drinking French wines.

C'est la vie!  Vive le Tour!

And my siblings seem willing to pick up the slack by checking
frequently on how Mom is doing while I'm gone.
