Stevia in Japan

Hi all!

I've been happy to use Stevia for a while, and I have been reading in
many places that it is frequently used in Japan. Now I am here for a
shorter business trip and would like to buy some products, especially
chewing gum, but I can't find any since I do not know Japanese. When I
ask in the stores they say its common, but they can't point to any
specific brands.

Could anyone please help me to name a few producs, gums and sodas
especially, that contain Stevia that are sold in Japan?

It is not in common use on a commercial basis in western Europe or Japan.
Many of the proponents were claiming that it was in common use in western
Europe until they were informed by many English speaking residents of Europe
that what they were claiming was nonsense. They
now have switched to claiming that it is widely in use in Japan on the
assumption that few people who respond to these groups travel to Japan.
However that is also not the case. Stevia is not in wide use in Japan. The
proponents should now claim that it is in wide use in North Korea that would
be harder to verify.
