October 1998 issue of Biography Magazine had not only Quackwatch in
it, but some information about Mark Lindsay as well!! Spin---only
like the Quackwatch disinformation team can do----spin it for all that
it is worth!! Say, wasn't Karl Brandt, Hitler's Doctor? Nice
article published right during the heights of the lawsuits....

MARK LINDSAY
Even though Paul Revere and the Raiders, a popular rock 'n'
roll band of the 1960s and early 1970s, didn't bear Mark
Lindsay's name, the lead singer and sax player clearly was
the star. It was just that keyboardist Paul Revere Dick had
the jazz moniker when the band, then known as The Down-
beats, was looking for a new name in 1963.
And it must have worked. Twenty-four singles put out by the
band from Portland OR ranked in the Billboard Top 100,
highlighted by 1971's "Indian Reservation," which climbed to
number one.
Today Lindsay, 56, who last performed with the group in
1975, shows no hostility toward his former bandmates for
exploiting the Paul Revere name. Besides, he's too busy
with his own group, the Mighty Band, which plays between
75 and 100 public and corporate dates a year.
"After 15 years of nonstop touring, recording, and television,
I was ready to hang up my rock 'n' roll shoes and take a
break," he says of his decision to part with the group. "It
just wasn't fun any more. I became head of A&R for United
Artists Records, wrote and recorded commercials, built a
studio where we recorded everyone from Ringo Starr to
Harry Nilsson, and in general did everything I could to stay
behind the scenes in music."
But in 1985, after hosting a series of live shows and real-
izing how much he missed performing, he put together his
new band.
In September 1997, he and former Raiders Drake Levin
(guitar) and Phil "Fang" Volk (bass) and Mike (Smitty)
Smith (drums) performed a 30th anniversary reunion con-
cert in Portland. (Revere still tours with a group of "New
Raiders.")
Lindsay and his wife of nine years, Deborah Brandt, who
handles all his business affairs, live in Hawaii. "Her family
priest brought her backstage to meet me in 1967,"
Lindsay says, "but it took until 1988 for us to meet again,
when I did a commercial project for the company she
worked for."

I'm really getting tired of your stories, and this is what YOU do so
well to attempt to
get the heat off of what has been going on for a long time to me,
myself, and a whole
other host of others.
It would appear that whatever you take to get YOU through the day is
not the right
prescription.
Mark and Deborah Lindsay know what has transpired, they knew about the
Quackwatch
connection, and they knew about the illegal use of the Department of
Defense to stalk all
of the old witnesses for the past 12 years. If you want to deny the
involvement of Quackwatch
in all of this, be my guest, but Mark and Deborah Lindsay are
potential witnesses for the AAPS
lawsuit and I'm sure they will be more than happy to prove you wrong.
