The Harvard Medical School Department of Continuing
Education and the Department of Physical Medicine &
Rehabilitation at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, in
cooperation with the founding sponsor of the course, the
Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care at Beth Israel
Deaconess Medical Center, is offering a highly regarded,
comprehensive, nine-month course in structural acupuncture
for physicians.

This unique course provides practical, hands-on training in
acupuncture. The training program is designed to bring
together Eastern and Western views of health and disease into
a result-oriented acupuncture style. You will learn to evaluate
and treat patients using modern Japanese acupuncture
techniques that link classical Chinese theory to concrete,
understandable clinical diagnostic and treatment techniques.
Strong emphasis is also placed on developing a neuroanatomical
understanding of pain modulation with acupuncture.

If you haven't been reading MHA over the past few months, you may have
missed some of the threads about Acupuncture at other prestigeous US
Medical Schools.
Additionally, the USAF has had 40 MD's certified in acupuncture who
practice it on the troops.

I don't read MHA but I have had discussions with several Chiropractors,
Acupuncturists an believe it or not several Cardiologists.  All are
encouraged by the opening of minds.

Why are Cardiologists interested?  People with heart problems have
circulation problems and very often associated pains.  They have found that
Chiropractic and Acupuncture are MUCH MUCH MUCH safer than any pain
relievers..  I.E. get rid of the pain and destroy kidneys and or liver.
