Of course, acupuncture is now performed by several UPHS physicians.
They have an Acupuncture Clinic.  Also, check out this sample
curriculum for a Chinese Medicine Clerkship for those UPenn Medical
students who'd like to do a clinical rotation in China:

Acupuncture at Penn

Acupuncture has a long history at Penn. The Acupuncture Clinic in the
Department of Rehabilitation Medicine was founded in 1980 by Dr. Sae-
il Chun. In 1988, Dr. Chun returned to Seoul Korea to direct the
largest rehabilitation hospital in Seoul. He asked Dr. Patrick
LaRiccia to take over the Acupuncture Clinic with Dr. Yong Kak Kim
assisting. Acupuncture is now performed by several UPHS physicians.

Oh darn it! Poor Richard will have to respond
to this and activate his mad dog denialism again.
I can see Doc Rich is going to be very busy
in this thread, sort of like the little Dutch
boy at the dike, plugging all the holes
in his denialism arguments.

Keep m' coming, the denialism dike is already
leaking badly, it is just a matter of time
before waves of truth overwhelm the denialists.

No he won't.

But speaking of denialism -- are you going to address *any* of the citations
that have been brought up that present evidence against the efficacy of
acupuncture, or *any* of the scientific issues that indicate that
homeopathy is a priori ridiculous?  I didn't think so.

Is it some sort of logic distortion field that emerges from his posts
such
that he can be self referentially contradictory and it's OK?

Mysterious.

I didn't say that he wouldn't respond to it, only that he wouldn't have to.

"Contrariwise," continued Tweedledee, "if it was so, it might be, and
if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't.  That's logic."
