"20 percent living through the end of the study." "95 percent survived"
"Swank theorized that people with MS had been consuming far too much saturated fat (found in meat). He found that those eating low-fat diets (less than 20 grams daily) suffered only "slight" myelin deterioration and 95 percent survived the study. In contrast, 80 percent of the patients eating moderate to high-fat diets (25 to 41 grams daily) had a serious progression of their MS symptoms, with only 20 percent living through the end of the study."

monty1945@lycos.com - 19 May 2008 19:38 GMT Great example of how the phrase, "saturated fat," which has no precise scientific meaning, can be "twisted" to support just about any conclusion. The scientific reality (as opposed to this nonsense) is that saturated fatty acids do not contribute to biochemical instability, which is why they have been fed to pregnant animals and can hinder the pregnancy (depending upon exact circumstances, and so this claim is beyond silly. In fact, it is the combination of unsaturated fatty acids in the meat (and of course many people now use highly unsaturated oils to cook meat with, making it worse) and cooked meat that generate very dangerous molecules, like HCAs. Thank for this great example of what I call "saturated fat" scare tactics. I will post it on my site, on the thread bearing this title.

There could be a few ways this made a difference therein lies one of the problems to me ..
Got something narrowed down a bit though.
Depends on what foods he used for the fats.
Say if he used chicken .. ?.. is that low fat .. ?
Could have to do with the viscosity and how high-fat meals increase viscosity. Hyperviscosity has already been shown to be associated with MS.

Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly
There was an old lady who swallowed a fly. I dunno why she swallowed that fly, Perhaps she'll die.
There was an old lady who swallowed a spider, That wriggled and jiggled and wiggled inside her. She swallowed the spider to catch the fly. But I dunno why she swallowed that fly - Perhaps she'll die.
There was an old lady who swallowed a bird; How absurd, to swallow a bird! She swallowed the bird to catch the spider That wriggled and jiggled and wiggled inside her. She swallowed the spider to catch the fly. But I dunno why she swallowed that fly - Perhaps she'll die
There was an old lady who swallowed a cat. Imagine that, she swallowed a cat. She swallowed the cat to catch the bird ... She swallowed the bird to catch the spider That wriggled and jiggled and wiggled inside her. She swallowed the spider to catch the fly. But I dunno why she swallowed that fly Perhaps she'll die
There was an old lady who swallowed a dog. What a hog!To swallow a dog! She swallowed the dog to catch the cat... She swallowed the cat to catch the bird ... She swallowed the bird to catch the spider That wriggled and jiggled and wiggled inside her. She swallowed the spider to catch the fly. But I dunno why she swallowed that fly Perhaps she'll die.
There was an old lady who swallowed a goat. Just opened her throat and swallowed a goat! She swallowed the goat to catch the dog ... She swallowed the dog to catch the cat. She swallowed the cat to catch the bird ... She swallowed the bird to catch the spider That wriggled and jiggled and wiggled inside her. She swallowed the spider to catch the fly. But I dunno why she swallowed that fly Perhaps she'll die.
There was an old lady who swallowed a cow. I don't know how she swallowed a cow! She swallowed the cow to catch the goat... She swallowed the goat to catch the dog...
There was an old lady who swallowed a horse - She's dead, of course.

This interview and research proves once again that nearly all disease is dis-ease. The ultimate cause of all dis-ease is nutrition and lifestyle...mind,body, and spirit.

You've been telling us that your religion has all the answers to health, so it follows that when plague wipes out a prairie dog colony you would have the answer to what causes it -- and there you are above, telling us you do.
So share: was it nutrition? Were those little critters done in by too much high-fructose corn syrup? Too much television? Did they quit going to church?

C. Sessions <d...@lumbercartel.com> ---------+ I think you are confused once again.
I am arguing against your church, the church of modern medicine. You believe that there are diseases and these diseases are caused by spirits and demons that you call germs, viruses, retro-viruses, prions, etc, etc. You spend much time developing poisons to give to the worshipers which brings in hughe sums of money for the church and its high priests, the doctors. If you cannot pretend to find a causative organism, real or imaginary, you then claim incompetence, ignorance, and do not know the cause of any disease, but in the mean time while you are suffering, take this or that poison.
Again, if you want an answer to your prairie dog problem, then go to an expert in that area, a person like Dr. Joel Wallach, DVM, ND. I am not knowledgeable enough in prairie dog health to offer an informed comment. Perhaps they ate some stale buffalo droppings or were poisoned by some rancher.
