Australians must have really bad skin problems.
How come it is that every night after midnight on practically every channel,
we get infomercials for so many skin products -- especially that annoying
Probiotic ad with Jessica Simpson and Vanessa Williams amongst others.
I mean people must be buying this stuff because the ads have been going now
for years.

Australians need to seriously overhaul their diets if their skin is so bad.

Its unbelievable ... people need to detox.

Maybe they need to make greater efforts to limit their exposure to the sun.

It's no different to the Miracle Bald Cure being played to
Infinity. At that time of night, their all scams.
With absolutely no proof it works or doesn't work.

Therefore, it you can't prove it doesn't work then it must
work. In order to run them out of town, you have prove it
doesn't work.

Where are the independent scientific trial results for these products,
because they can't present them they're all snake oil as far as I'm
concerned and the ACCC should shut them down.

On that basis we would have to test arsenic on about 2000 people, have
another 2000 being told they are taking arsenic and 2000 not taking
anything - all to find out that arsenic will kill at least 33% of the test
subjects in a scientific trial.

If people want to be separated from their money let them.

Yes, that's right!  It's called "health freedom".

Or at least, that's the term preferred by 9 out of 10
snake-oil hucksters.

I can spot a scam a mile off. The people they are looking for
are ones with a higher education and probably also played
Quiz Mania.

I thought acne would be less problematic in Australia due to our dry heat,
which results in the drying of the skin.  Acne tends to become worse in more
humid climates.

If it's Australians that have really bad skin problems, how come all those
people mentioned on the ads are American?
:-)

But it's perfectly legal to stuff Botox into your skin

Botox is made from 'botulinum toxin', a poison produced by the bacterium
Clostridium botulinum. This bacterium causes botulism - a severe form of
food poisoning. In small quantities, however, Botox merely interrupts
nerve impulses to muscles in the face.
