Part 3: UK: Killing Patients with Ritalin
Daniel Fletcher, an 11 years old boy, was first diagnosed with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) at the age of two, and just three years later the little boy was prescribed the amphetamine- like drug Ritalin from Novartis. The effect, says his mother Hayley, was a loss of appetite but no difference in his behaviour. "So the doctor kept upping the doses until he was on six times the normal dose, yet he was still hyperactive." At the age of 14 he was put on Risperdal, an antipsychotic drug usually given to schizophrenics. "It was as if my son had been replaced by a doped-up zombie,' said his mother, "I could hardly wake him in the morning. It was as if all his personality was disappearing, like a patient in a mental institution."
Hundreds of thousands of others in th UK are still being prescribed Ritalin, an amphetamine-like stimulant which has the same effect as "speed" and cocaine, and which, according to new evidence from the U.S., doesn't even work in the long-term. Ritalin is a methylphenidate which acts in a similar way to cocaine by stimulating the central nervous system, which, paradoxically, can have a calming and focusing effect. Scientists are unclear why it works in this way.
Recent findings suggest that Ritalin can stunt growth as well as causing heart problems, insomnia and weight problems. In the U.S., there have been 51 deaths among children and adults taking Ritalin since 1999. According to the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency, 11 British children on Ritalin have died.
Experts fear that inappropriate drugs are not only being used to control children's behaviour, but are being massively over-prescribed to some children who are simply naughty.
Novartis, which makes Ritalin, says: "Ritalin has a long record as a safe and effective medication.“

news.chi.sbcglobal.net - 10 May 2008 08:33 GMT All stimulants are harmful, not necessarily to the person on the medication, but by a side effect that affects innocent people, as very likely the child was. His parents, or friend of parents could have been on an anti-depressant thereby affecting the child in the manner of ADHD syndrome. Hard to believe that what one person ingests can harm another, but that is the side effect of stimulants. They transfer harm by a MIND/BODY effect to an innocent person. And this in spite of distance. They can be miles and miles apart, still the harm continues. Little know is this fact, it was what Dr. Burril Crohns was looking for as the answer to the destruction of crohns disease. My comments are under the name Kureforcrohns (search the name) that explain some of this. I am not a doctor, or medical person, but acute observation has proven this to me over and over. There are many other articles under my name, but most important is the one an anit-depressants and the article on Fidel Castro. The others are on dentistry, I have no control what articles are put under my name. In fact, I do not know who puts them there or who selected my name for (is that blogs>) I am computer illiterate, so I cannot explain why and who places the articles. I have no idea when the world will catch up to the fact that all stimulants, including all anti-depressants can cause crohns disease and UC to innocent people. Strange and weird are the illnesses and strange and weird is the cause. Gail Michael Novartis - A Chronicle of Scandals: Killing Children with Drugs

But in fact, the, inflammatory bowel disorder was preexisting, and it was alleviated symptopmatically while on ADD tx, as dopamine and norpep interrupt the inflammatory chemical pathway that may result in inflamation, whether of the bowel, the skin (psoriais), or vasculature of the brain that may contribute to migraine.
There are case reports of patients with severe Chrohns disease (a very serious disorder) who have found relief, symptomativally,.with Wellbutrin, which affects neurep.

Strange and weird, the only illness affected by the mind and stimulant of another person's use. I not only believe it, I KNOW it. It would cut the rate of crohns disease and ulcerative colitis if one can relate to it, and the person on the stimulant cooperates and ceases, but alas, most everyone is like you. Can't believe this is possible, when really, almost anything is possible in life. Gail

If I wished to write just for the sake of writing, There is plenty of junk I can resort to. Besides if not for this agenda, I could scrap the computer, for I know little how to use it. Some newly formed global health organization invited me to join, along with all medical personell, but I don't even know how to follow instructions to join. Gail For those that would like to read more about the subject, read Articles by Kureforcrohns (hit search) Doesn't matter if the world opposes the idea, It would take a hell of a lot to convince the world stimulants are the cause, they are one drug that the pharms would never give up. They do have a good use, but for the side effect of destruction and death.
Gail has been told by many people how impossible her idea is, but, she sticks to it, like pidgeon poop in a cleat.

The cause is not apparent like in organic illnesses and not readily recognized. The symptoms vary about as much as a mind can imagine and more symptoms that cannot be imagined. Whatever, however, can attack the body is possible with crohns disease. Tell me why doctors seem to recognize crohns in some patients in private practice , but in the nursing homes, the same symptom can appear in a patient, yet the resident doctor cannot know it as crohns ( leg problems, rashes, sores on the legs, exceedingly excessive weight gain,(eating unnaturally) but treats it to the best of his ability, thank G-d which is not enough in some cases. I have a dear person in a nursing home (schizophrenic, unable to take care of herself) who lived with me eight years until I was forced to make a change for her sake and mine, as she had a friend of her brothers who loved her as I do. But he was an addict to marijuana and on to cocaine, and we were both affected adversely and I thought a change of scenery was in order. A couple of years later her friend overdosed to death. He was young and could have lived, but apparently too troubled to remain clean. But all the while she lived with me, she did not overeat, had no rashes, no high blood pressure, no sores on her legs. Actually a smart and beautiful girl. Her mother however could not handle the irregular actions of a schizophrenic and I was glad to have her. Since being in the nursing home, the stupid mother and administrator think all the problems she now has are a regular continuance because of time. I have asked the administrator to discontinue ALL the anti-depressants given to some residents, jeopardizing the rest of the residents not on the meds. At my house, she would go in a warm tub to relieve the tension. The administrator agrees anti-depressants were never used years ago, but her psychiatrist is the one who prescribes them and she must abide. Hitler had his physcians experiment on the detainees, so physicians are not always on the high ground. especially if they are being bribed which a nurse told me might be done at the home. I am extremely disappointed in those who think they are righteous Orthodox Jews (I am a Jew also) who are criminals in my estimation, dealing death to the unsuspecting. Of course all nursing homes are not owned by Jews, so others are just as guilty. well, I have spoken what despairs my heart daily. I had to bring in religion, because I expect better from those that are seemingly so righteous. I have not done the right thing always so I am not entitled to judge. But I SEE this unobvious (but to me obvious) death sentence dealt to some patients. Anti-depressants are an elective drug, and in my estimation, are not meant to be., just as marijuana, cocaine etc. I don't have all the answers, as they all have their good side which people crave or need. But I do know they can kill by the mind alone. On that there is no compromise. Gail
HCN - 14 May 2008 06:08 GMT > To a certain extent I can prove the cause, but do not feel free to do so > and yes, my mind is closed on this subject. >.. ^^^^^^ Exactly.
Gail, you are a very sweet lady. But please, please stop telling people that the cause of many problems (like their children's seizures) is caused by other people thinking about them.
When I was a new mom I was very upset when my newborn baby spent his first week of life in a hospital due to seizures. I know now that there could be a large number of reasons, helped by good organizations like Rite-Care (http://www.scottishrite.org/what/phil/ritecare.html ) and http://epilepsyfoundation.org/ ... and by a well qualified child neurologist. I also know I could have been vulnerable to many interesting ideas.
Which is unfortunate, but very common.
Fortunately my oldest son is almost 20 years old, and I did not succumb to many of the interesting ideas on Usenet and the Internet because they did were then not in my realm of reality.
So please, do other young parents a favor:
Prove it!
Or in other words:
Put up or shut up!
news.chi.sbcglobal.net - 14 May 2008 12:46 GMT Of course not all incidents of illness are due to anti-depressants. but it is something to be aware of. Some years ago, I put an ad in the paper stating the cause as I knew it of crohns disease. A doctor in the then County Hospital of Chicago called me and asked if that applied to embryos, while the child was still unborn. I replied I did not know, as I did not know. She went on to say that the babies born to mothers on stimulants had rumination and had to be taken from the mother and given to a surrogate care taker so they could be well. She said they were having the rumination because they were trying to bond with the mother but could not on account of the stimulants. The action of taking the babies from the mother was correct, but her reasoning was not. It was simply a matter of the stimulants being harmful. I believe the mothers may have been on hard drugs, but the result can be the same with any stimulant, anti-depressants being the most common. In another case in the newspaper, a six month old child died of supposedly child abuse by a caretaker for 2 parents, one a medical doctor and the other not a medical doctor but a professional in the field. The caretaker had a very famous lawyer but was sentenced to 50 years inprisonment. The headline screamed The mother was not ashamed to say she was taking anti-depressants. Somehow I realized that the baby could have had a seizure and died not by the hand of the caretaker. I went to the lawyer and told him what I thought. He listened and said he knows she is not guilty as he had her confidence. He was going to appeal even before I came, and the appeal was successful and she was freed. I doubt he used my theory, as it is barely believable, but the outcome was fortunate. The parents of course were devastated, but for an innocent person to be imprisoned for fifty years would have been a terribe injustice. These are my experiences, knowing them and many others, I cannot help but make others aware of what I know, whether they choose to believe it or not. The telling factor is, is someone close to the child or person on a stimulant, then it is time to wonder. If the answer is no, of course there are many reasons for illness. And what is the harm of ceasing anti-depressants for a day or two, to see if the situation exists. It costs nothing and has saved lives though the doctor should be informed. Gail

Glad to see that you acknolwedge that your "mind" is closed. Doubtful that it is truly a 'mind'. This proves it (i.e., that you have no mind):

CLAIRITIN CAUSES CANCER.
STUPIDITY C AUSES CANCER if gail's theory is proven.
HOW? ... >.> if someone is stupid, then they pass on their stupidity like a cancer.
Ritalin is a hard case to crack, yes .. drug companies won't stop using it.. and here it's perscribed like water. (New zealand) ... With so many options available, they still treat ADHD (IN NZ) like nothing, like it's an excuse..
So i gave up.
