I understand that Stephen Barrett had a pattern of threatening people
with lawsuits and then demanding money from them.

On his website a few years ago, he had bragged that something like 6
people had paid him off rather than endure his legal assaults. I know
of several sued by them, and many more threatened with lawsuits by
Barrett & Terry Polevoy & Christopher Grell.

Barrett had taken 1 1/2 years of law school from a matchbook diploma
mill ... and he considered himself an expert in legal matters.

I refused when I got these demands below ... much of them claiming I
wrote things I did not. It was tedious and arduous defending myself
against Slick Stevie and cost me dearly in uncompensated  time and
energy.

One of his ploys ... also used in his enormous lawsuit loss against me
... was to claim I said things I did not ... and then sue me for them!

I have noticed Myrl Jeffcoat & Coleah Penley Ayers doing the same
thing ... claiming I said something I did not ... then screeching at
me and threatening lawsuits. Barrett not only threatened ... he sued
me.

He lost ... and the total bill against he & the other plaintiffs was
nearly a half a million dollars ... of which over $311,000 is still
owed for my attorneys fees.

Myrl Jeffcoat & Coleah Penley Ayers have accused me of the crime of
extortion. I deny it.

Andrew Langer approached me with an 'offer' ... he wanted me to spend
more of my time and money and energy to remove factual information I
had gathered about him and his smear assaults against me, while he was
working with Coleah & Myrl as his insiders.

This would mean that while he profitted on corporate salary, perks and
bonuses for several years being paid every moment they mutually
attacked me ... I was forced to defend myself at enormous cost.

I let him know that I would need to be compensated for my time.

He has been compensated for his ... seems fair to me. It is my belief
that according to the Snake-oil Team and Coleah & Myrl ... that until
I am with no financial resources, they will not stop their attacks.
Just this week, "Frank" popped up again ... someone who Coleah claims
is an old man in NY.  Wrong.

Myrl also popped up wth hundreds of attack threads as Will Ketcher ...
as did her beloved Terry Polevoy ... who attacked while calling
himself Vera Teasdale.

As an activist speaking against the corporations Probert & Langer &
Coleah defend ... we do not have huge mega corporations paying our way
with corporate money filtered through ACSH or CEI etc. etc. etc. etc.
etc.

As a note ... although in my responses to Andrew Langer's "offer" I
threatened nothing and was only responding to his request ... he began
demanding that I tell him what I would do if we came to no agreement,
trying to manipulate me so he could play victim and claim I threatened
him. I did not.

Interesting that Coleah & Myrl applaud Barrett's demands for money
from me.

Further interesting, is that they further work with O'leary ... who
has made millions over the years selling breast implants & promoting
silicone junk science, while he and they attacked me online.

Dr. Polevoy of stalking and various other things. You responded that
you didn't think that posting someone else's message to a news group
could make you liable for damages. I strongly suggest that you ask an
attorney about this.

We have in our possession a copy of the police report concluding that
Dr. Polevoy did nothing wrong. Do you think that a judge or jury will
excuse you for posting Bolen's lie that the police judged him guilty?
I do not.

Since my last message, I have learned that messages posted to
alt,misc.health can get reposted to a large number of groups, not
just to DejaNews. Neither Dr. Polevoy not I intend to tolerate this
situation. This message is intended to offer you an opportunity to
enter into an amicable settlement instead of winding up with greater
expense defending yourself in court. With reservation of rights,
here's my offer:

1. You will pay me $500 to compensate me for the time I have had to
waste in tracking down your messages.
2. You will provide me with a letter directing any Internet provider

you have something you want to say about me that is not libelous, or

Fascinating.

You believe that calling someone a "quack" is defamatory, yet your
website, "quackwatch" names many fine physicians "quacks" ~ including
Drs. Andrew Weil and Deepak Chopra.

Seems to me like "quack" is in the eyes of the beholder.

You claims you "know not" what happened to Ms. McPhee.

I do not believe that is true in any way. How could you have in his
possession a "police report" on her, and yet know nothing? Are you
claiming no knowledge of this?

A police report is a report written by the police.
No police report showed that he stalked anyone.
The police report states that the police found no wrongdoing.
Your reposting of this libel is further evidence of malice.
If you wanted to know the answer, you could have asked me privately.

I made the threat because your post also libels me.
I mentioned the Polevoy matter because it is so clear-cut.

I neither know nor care about what he did and what happened to her.

Calling me a quack is defamatory and is further evidence of malice.
My offer to settle for $500 is hereby withdrawn.
