mummified human brain tissue found inside skull cap fossil

It is the world's only human brain fossil, the oldest human brain,
probably bigger and more complex than modern human brain.
It was found inside a calvarium fossil of the Carboniferous age, but
so well preserved that the nuclei of its neurons are clearly seen in
micrographs.
