NPR is reporting that the Journal of the American Medical Association
is asking MD's to sever their ties with big Pharma when doing
research.

In addition, the JAMA article asks that big Pharma stop funding the
courses on specific drugs which MD's must take to retain their
certification.

This excellent condemnation, to the great credit of JAMA,
apparently was in part brought on by hundreds of research articles
written in favor of Vioxx by MD's and/or researchers in which the
PAYMENT FOR WRITING THOSE ARTICLES REMAINED UNDISCLOSED.

Let us applaud this development, the start of a major blow to industry
interference in the good and important work of M.D. and which
undoubtedly represents the start of major reaction against the
interference of drug companies.

Good one -- its about time people started waking up to the massive
corruption and deception of the pharmaceutical business with disease.
I don't take pharmaceutical drugs and haven't taken them for 30+ years --
not even antibiotics.
Any complaints I have are treated with nutritional remedies, mainly
cellsalts.
The pharmaceutical business with disease is one of the biggest frauds on
this planet.

In post after post after post, Bowditch, D.C. Sessions, Richard Shultz
and others have pointed to current Pharacological research as the be
all and end all of ALL medical research, a holy grail, a standard from
whose lofty heights they could deride Homeopathy and other alternative
medical systems.

But instead, we now see, in my opinion,  that the same sort of
deception which the TOBACOO industry engaged in  for DECADES has been
ongoing under perhaps different guises in the Pharmaceutical industry
has been ongoing.

I submit that in my opinion, that this fact DISQUALIFIES every single
post made by the persons mentioned.

THE APPEAL TO THE "AUTHORITY" (SIC) of Pharmacological Research  is
now at an end.  BUYING RESEARCH WITHOUT DISCLOSURE OF THE FINANCIAL
TIES HAS NOW BEEN OFFICIALLY EXPOSED IN STANDARD MEDICINE AND ITS BIG
BROTHER PHARMA.

Let us meet EVERY single post from the anti-alternative medicine
posters with the same derision with which they have been giving since
this newsgroup started!
